EGM Says Buffy for Xbox Sucks..

Discounting fanboys on forums: Enclave, Outlaw Golf and Hunter got little attention of that magnitude, certainly no more than Kri did.  I\'ll grant that Sky Gunner and Samurai were sleepers.  I had been watching Kri for a while now, but those other two came out of nowhere.

The only game released this summer that did was Morrowind, and the reviews were great.

Yeah, I will keep down the swearing. But notice how the fanboys are noticeably absent from this thread. Except Chrono, always trucking on.

XBox is no different from PS2, just getting it\'s foothold right now. The only thing over PS2 it has, is it isn\'t getting shitty ports from consoles to it. Most of the time, they are superior ports or have stuff added to them to make the purchase better on XBox. XBox hasn\'t even gotten a year out and is doing just fine, IMO, much beter than PS2 at the time.

This fall, I think my Cube and my XBox will be getting a lot more play time then last year.  Sure, I\'ll be playing Socom to death online, but after that, it\'s mostly good platformers and GTA Vice City on the PS2.  Here\'s to hoping The Getaway turns out to be decent.

Pfft, but Ryu is too close minded to be interested in games such as TimeSplitters 2 and Red Faction 2, purely because of their rushed predecessors.  :evil:

But that\'s ok, I\'ll play them enough for both of us.

I never appreciated the style that Timesplitters was and the framerate in the first Red Faction was pretty bad let alone the gimmicky Geo Mod that was used to very little effect.  All the red in that game just made ya dizzy.

Timesplitters 2 is completely different.  From everyone I know who played the demo it\'s supposedly great.  I know some Nintendo fans in particular who think it feels almost like a direct sequal to Perfect Dark.

And from the looks of it the framerate in Red Faction 2 has been upped supremely and looks smooth as hell.  Not to mention the fact that the developers say they have upgraded the Geo-Mod from gimmick to include it far more often in the gameplay.
