Girl Murdered for Beating Friend at Video Game

After repeatedly losing to his school-mate in a video game, a young Filipino male shot his female schoolmate to death out of pure rage. The school girl, Veronica Galang was shot in the eye by her angry school mate.
The two "friends" were at a computer shop at Quezon City in the Phillipines. The girl repeatedly defeated her friend at the video game and then humiliated him further by taunting him and teasing him on his low standards of video game ability.
The young man had in his possession a shot gun. In his rage, the young man pulled out the gun with which he shot the victim, Veronica Galang in the eye, killing her. The boy then fled the scene. Police are still searching for the young man.

I don\'t know. I can somehow see how a game can drive someone to act it out in reality. I mean, when I play ICO it makes me want to get a stick and beat any chick who mumbles words I can\'t understand.

Wait..bad..example....

Yes, in Spain if any mad guy between 14-25 years kills somebody, don\'t ask why he did that, News says automatically that the murderer was comitted due to videogames. Pathetic.

Heh, a worrying trend. I just read a story about a StarTrek RPGer who got shot by a Klingon Disruptor, literally!! Two guys scuffled after an RPG battle in which one of them lost their ship. The tother guys laughed for a few moments when they found the little rumble ammusing. Things went silent after they heard the bang and some brain splattered on the game board.

I don\'t think it\'s fair to blame it on the game. Any kid who is unbalanced enough to do such a thing, would have done it whatever the situation was. She could have beaten him at conkers and he still would have reacted like that.

People use games as a scapegoat for ever increasing social decline in humanity.
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

This kid was a pyscho waiting to go over the edge.  If the videogame wasnt the catalyst something else would have been.

But you cant really blame him.. i mean... beaten... by a GIRL!?!?!  How humiliating

Egh...

I\'m half filipino, this kinda makes me feel ashamed. It\'s probably CS, almost every kid in the Philippines has that game.

Dudes, the kid is walking around with a shotgun.

That should be the end of the story.  What a whacko.
