I never followed baseball at all. Just wondered who won the World Series. I could tell you that it will be the Yankees. They win to damn much.

That\'s why baseball sucks.

It\'s just, who\'s going to play the yankees this year?

They have to allow revenue sharing.  It\'s down right stupid to think teams like the Devil Rays could even possibly compete with the big dogs.

I mean they don\'t even get TV revenue money.  Next year is the first year they get a cut in the TV revenue pot.  How ridiculous is that?

Yes, there are some problems with baseball but it doesn\'t make the games terrible to watch.  And the Yankees with all their spending are still not the best team in baseball.

How is a team out west supposed to compete w/ the yankees when most of their players get paid more than the entire KC Royals team.

Go Huskers. College Sports (Mainly Nebraska) is what got me into the whole sports world. If Professional Baseball goes, it will hurt, but there are many other sports that are thriving, and Baseball, though it will hurt, isn\'t going to kill anybody.

I personally think the owners and players will pull out of this. If they do strike, it will be 10 times more disastrous than the strike in 1994, simply because of what baseball did after 9/11.

As for your statement, Hurricane, teams in the West ARE competing. Anaheim, Oakland, and Seattle are, as of right now, the 3 top teams in the AL, and they\'re all in the west. The Minnesota Twins are about 16 games up in the AL Central, and, barring a strike, will very easily make the playoffs. The rest of the teams in the division are reloading for the future. So, basically, in te AL, the playoff picture could very easily look like Anaheim, Minnesota, Yankees, and either Seattle or Oakland. You\'d have to figure that one, just one of those teams could beat them.

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

The Yankees might spend more but if you watched baseball you would see that they aren\'t above every team.  Oh, and go Reds.

As for college sports, theres nothing better.  College basketball puts the NBA to shame with how exciting it is.  And I have more fun watching the rivalrys in college football.

God baseball, sucks, the MLB needs a god damn salary cap on it.

I\'ve never liked following baseball for these reasons:

1. No Salary Cap

2. OVER 150 GAMES IN THE SEASON! God damn the games are almost pointless. This is why football is the better spectator sport, games ARE MEANINGFUL.

3. Yankees.

4. The constant penis adjusting, people where cups in all sports but for some reason you only see the baseball players adjusting themselves.

5. Slow action... Man, this is why, call me a fool, I say softball is better than baseball. Softball has a nice slow pitch so there are TONS of hits. Non-stop action, keeps the people entertained. In baseball its a good game if there\'s at least 10 hits... yay...

6. Playoffs. Same flaw in basketball, why must playoffs consist of a series of games? Once again, football owns here.

7. The strikes. Just kills the game, they go on strike here, it will be the stake through the heart.

IMO, Baseball is not America\'s sport. It shouldn\'t be. Just by calling it, "America\'s Sport" makes America look bad.

I feel that every sport needs a salary cap....without them...teams will become extremely unbalanced...look at the Wings...i mean im not complaining...i loved seeing them win the cup again...but our owner has more money then god knows what.

I feel the series make for better seasons.  Football you could have one bad game and you don\'t get to the Super Bowl.  Now that sounds stupid to me.

IMO Baseball should still be America\'s sport, and was called that for a damn good reason.  I love the sport, and would like nothing more than for it to once again become the #1 sport in the nation.

There are a lot of changes that need to be made though.  Revenue sharing, maximum salaries, and maybe a slightly shorter season.  I love the series format for baseball though.  With the way starting pitching is, a series format is much better for baseball than a one game thing.

I also think there should maybe be a bit of contraction.  Take away the teams that the fans don\'t support anyway.  The D-Rays, the Expos, teams like that.  It would increase the talent level, and make baseball more enjoyable.  I think that trying to contract a team like the Twins is insane though.

Fans support the D-Rays just as much as a hell of a lot of other crappy teams out there.  Tampa is a very good sports town when it comes to people buying tickets.  They have just gotten sick and tired of losers over the past 20+ years.  Now that the bucs kick ass it\'s hard to spend money on losers again.
