Rain!!!
« on: July 29, 2002, 11:00:57 PM »
Bloody hell!!!, within the last couple of minutes, the sky has opened up. It is absolutely pissing it down, I\'m talking biblical proportions here. Rain, hailstone, thunder & lightening..... It\'s all happening outside. I\'m just waiting for a big volcano to appear from out of nowhere.

I can hardly see the houses across the street through the rain, it\'s THAT bad.

Now, a bit of rain doesn\'t bother me, being from Manchester, I\'m used to the stuff. But I honestly can\'t remember anything THIS bad. If it carries on like this, I can\'t see the Commonwealth games events due to be held today, being run with any real success.

I\'m even worried about being on the computer, I once remember reading that if lightening hits the electricity cables outside, it can pass along and enter the household appliances, electrocuting anyone using them.

It had died down a bit whilst I have been typing this, but it\'s kicking off again.

F\'k
Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

I love being inside while it rains. That sense of security is comforting.

I\'ve heard that lightning shocks through computers can send you into the future. In fact, I\'ve been there. And let me tell you what: A world run by Vin Diesel clones is not fun.

I had lightning hit my house a few years back. About 80% of all the appliances plugged in were FRIED!

It stopped raining about an hour ago, but the skies are still VERY dark. There are cars going past with their headlights on.

I were a betting man, I would put money on it starting again sometime soon.

Jaye, you are a big puss.  Come down to Florida and we will make you wet your pants.  Lightning so often and loud you\'d drop trow in your shorts.

I doubt u would get fried.. But it can kill your electrical equipment..  We have surge detectors all over our house.. Every powerplug to the power board itself. But it can\'t always stop problems.. So i tend to turn off my comps during lightening storms. Even my TV\'s depending on how bad they are.  I mainly turn this machine off because i\'ve got a phoneline cable plugged too it.  Storm may not hit powerlines, but phonelines are another thing. :)

I\'m going to forget what is rain. I don\'t see it for 5 months or so.
