We never get heavy rain. Nothing happens here. If it thunders and lightnings when I\'m at work, I get off early :) I wish it would do that today. It\'s so F*CKING HOT!!!

I know full well the meaning of rain, trust me.

And as for the lightening, it\'s not a problem in itself, but our next door neighbour has a 50 foot tall oak tree in her front garden. If the lightening hits it, it could well crash into and through our house.

That\'s what it\'s like here.  We\'ve had some hot dry days...not as bad as Texas or Arizona but hot enough for me.

With all the rain we\'ve had today, it\'s STILL roasting hot outside, even now at almost 10PM.

It\'s monsoon season here, and the day after it rains, my god is it miserable. It can be about 110 with 50-70% humidity. I don\'t even bother walking outside.

Last week we got almost 3 inches of rain in an hour and 45 minutes. Behind my house is desert...and there\'s a few washes and stuff. Of course with all the debris it builds a dam on the chain-link fence, causing my whole yard to fill with water. I have an acre lot, and I\'d say 75% of it was water. But that\'s fine, because now we won\'t get a decent down-pour for 3 years.

That\'s probably what we had yesterday, maybe in a bit less time though.
