I don\'t see why animal rights groups are pissed. Whats the difference between eating a dog and eating a cow? They are the same thing.....sort of.

I found it disgusting, but to be honest Titan has a point.

Here in the civilised world, cats and dogs are viewed as highly as family members, while cows are milked and are slaughtered for meat.

In countries like India, cows are viewed upon as holy animals, and killing (or harming) one in such a country, could result in imprisonment, or worse, death.

if someone told me german shepard tasted like prime rib id give a shot i wouldnt go out of my way to try but i dont find people eating any sort of animal discusting bugs on the other hand thats just plain sick

I was watching a programme on the discovery channel this morning about cooking, and the chef was going on about eating grey squirrels, I thought that was pretty bad.

You could see the peices of squirrel meat stuck between his teeth.

I personally would never eat a dog, but than again our culture is different than others. We think of our dogs and cats as our best friends, as family. However, places like that they have different views and what not and see nothing wrong with it and really, there isn\'t anything wrong with it. Eating a dog is no more gross than eating a pig. Either way you are eating a dead animal. Something that was once alive, but was slaughtered so you could feast upon it. What does it matter if it is a dog or pig? It doesn\'t.

Never had dog meat.  It actually has no nutritional value.  It\'s like eating empty calories.  I hear buffalo meat is supposed to be better for you than beef.  Then again...I hear that a hybred of buffalo and cow (beefalo) has the nutritional value of a buffalo, but is as good as beef.
