Cleaning Instructions

I need step by step instructions for opening up my PS2 and cleaning it by hand. My warrenty is up so I have nothing left to lose. I\'m going to open my PS2 up and take the dust out by hand. What I need are: instructions; things to not touch; dangers; anything else i need to know. Thanks.

I would try a DVD laser cleaner and a can o air before I opened mine up. I\'ve heard the parts of the PS2 pop out like a jack in the box or something.

First off Titan fu if you cant take a joke.
 you shoudnt need a static bracelet, there shoud be a shield over the things that that are static sensitive. The lens are prone to screatch. be careful  when massing with them.

more information:

It says in the guide you can keep the system plugged in as you turn and test the voltage.. however I found it safer to unplug it each time.. perhaps i\'m wrong.

Does anyone know what a "grounded work surface" is? I have it on my instructions for my antistatic wrist band but I can\'t figure out what a grounded work surface is. I have to clip on the alligator clip to a grounded work surface.

It means the area that you are working on shoud be grounded. If you work on a ruber pad and clip your wrist band to it shoud work.
