Whatever.  You brought my intelligence into question, I put you firmly in your place--that being among the barely literate.    Perhaps you shouldn\'t throw stones--that way they wouldn\'t come back at you.

Convienent that you left out splashdown for that reason .  Also, the infamous gamerankings.com counts review scores from official magazines/sites that skew the numbers and don\'t mean shit.

Go to Gamespot--neither of those games were 80s.

EDIT: and one thing I just noticed, add Splashdown in, and xbox has the same number of 80s than does the PS2 for the summer, but the xbox has the highest rated game of the eight and the highest overall average.  Do you ever make a valid point, Chrono?

Just to point out: Wipeout Fusion deserves better than 83% in my eyes. Main flaw is that it\'s too hard - yet, I think this is one reason why this game is so damn good.

I haven\'t even tried Wipeout, in truth, I\'m just going by Gamespot.  Kri, well maybe if it could keep the framrate over 20 I\'d be impressed (aren\'t you a framerate whore mm?).  I can\'t help to think what your impressions of Kri would be had it been an xbox title.  I\'m certain the framerate would be in much more of a problem.  It\'s a pretty standard 3rd person action game with a repetitive fighting engine and stealth...yeah that\'s original.

And Medal of Honor is just a medal of honor game...again.  We\'ve had this disscussion--you\'re a glutton for MOH games, with that I cannot argue.  But if this were an xbox title, wouldn\'t you prefer to play the PC version?

Frontline isn\'t on PC :p  Allied Assault is... guess where mm played that?  :p:D

It all comes down to opinion obviously :)  For what I\'m interested in, PS2 had the games released recently that I preferred.. although not having played a game like Mark of Kri I guess I have to remain on the fence... for now :)

I think Wipeout Fusion shines because of Zone-Mode, in which you can compete against other people over the world. It\'s pretty damn adictive and is probably my most played game.

I think the US version has also been a bit fixed, so less bugs to worry about. If I were you - definaltey give it a rent. It might or might not be your cup of tea. Only one way to find out...

i see no slowdown in mark of kri, yer grasping for anything

there is fundamentally something wrong with you as a gamer, if you do not appreciate that game

I\'d rather play Morrowind than anything that came out on the PS2.  It goes both ways.

Shit mm, who has the blinders on now?!?  No slowdown in Kri?  You\'re saying it runs at 60 FPS then?  It better knowing your standards (it doesn\'t not even close).  So a rock solid 30 then?

lol--he who classfies Halo as a game with crippiling slowdown, cannot see it everywhere in Kri.  Try getting more than two enemies on screen.  Sometimes even less than that.

Your eyes must be closed.

if mark of kri isnt locked at 30 fps solid, then id be suprised, and ive played thru 4 levels so far (about 4 hours in)

im a gameplay wh0re remember, and mark of kri oozes with that

xbox zealots are the one that are concerned with graphics and little else

This is from Gamespot:

____
Unfortunately, the game suffers from quite a bit of slowdown--even with as few as three enemies onscreen in some of the game\'s larger areas--and the settings themselves aren\'t particularly inventive or detailed.
___

Here\'s what LiC had to say:

____
once you get more than a couple enemies on screen and everyone is attacking the engine starts to stutter and in result the frame rate drops
____

It drops frames, I\'m still unsure of how you missed it.

like my copy of halo, it must be defective
:)

here\'s how i look at things, i look for gameplay 1st, if that falters (which mark of kri doesnt), i go for visuals, if THAT falters (halo fails both), then i bitch insistantly

but thats not how a zealot sees things

"DOOD, did j00 peep those textures!  oh it runs at 13 fps, replays the same levels over and over,  and im gonna go blind?!  i dont care, this is the shit and teh PS2 killah!"

its like gameplay isnt an issue with these guys

Whats pathetic, Chrono, is you constantly bring up OTHER people\'s opinions to debate.

How about you actually play the games and form your own damn opinion and some of us might take you more seriously?

And the argument that Watch praises anything MS is so done and tired. Read a couple of threads where he remarks how lousy the graphics are for Chase and how retarded DOA 3 Volleyball is.

Whereas you have never said a single positive comment about anything MS.

Who\'s the fanboy, again?

And for a supposed English major, you\'re a moron.
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
