Sleeping habits
« on: August 05, 2002, 09:54:13 PM »
another thread had a couple of people, like me, who had screwy sleepiong habits, and made me wonder what was everyones sleep schedual like, and if there were any other freaks out there.

I have one hell of a screwed up sleep schedual, I usually revert to a 8am sleep time, and wake up around 4pm.  I am slowly forcing myself to wake up earlier, and am taking unisom, so that when fall semester starts I\'ll be on a somewhat normal schedual.

I don\'t really have a schedule.  Usually I go to sleep between 1 and 7 am, and wake up whenever I\'m not tired anymore.

I was going to bed around sunrise and waking up around 3:00 everyday until the terrible shocktreatment of having to get up at 8:00 for cross country came.

Lets see I work from 7 PM till 7 AM about 3 or 4 days a week (we run a continental shift at my factory so I get a good 12-14 days off a month, spaced out of course) so my sleeping schedule is pretty rigid. When I am working I will get home at about 7:15 and usually eat, play games or surf until 8:00 when I goto sleep. I get up at 3-4 and I then get prepared for work and watch some TV I go into work and do the same thing over again. On my days off I try to keep the same schedule (it really hampers the social life) so when I go back in I am rested properly.

One time I didn\'t sleep for 2 days and still went in and did a full 12 hour shift. I\'ll never do that again, I swear almost 20 times that night I thought I was going to faint, or vomit. Oh and my job is packing vinyl siding. That means I am constantly moving 60+ LB boxes of Vinyl on to a rack.

When school comes back my sched will be less rigid since school is a breeze compared to factory work.

So about 2 A.M. - Noon

I have no trouble sleeping at all, no matter what time it is.  I\'ll just have trouble waking up.  =P  My usual sleeping schedule may it be summer or school time is around 12-2 am.  I can stay up longer if I don\'t feel like sleeping (summer) or if I have an essay due last minute.  On those cases I\'m asleep by about 3:30-5 am.  When school is up I\'m awake at about 7:00 maybe earlier.  But during the summer...it fluctuates.  I wake up if I\'m too warm, too cold (SF weather), if someone is noisy, if someone wakes me up, if I\'m hungry, if nature calls, or if I don\'t feel tired anymore; therefore I wake up at around 9am-12pm.

my sleeping habit this summer has been like this:
attempt to sleep at 11-pm>
cannot sleep~pop in a dvd in the ps2>
1~2am-movie finishes but i\'m still not able to sleep>
lay in bed until i fall asleep from boredom>
wake up around 6~7am, then fall asleep again till i finally wake up at exactly 0930.
weird isn\'t it :).

I usually go to bed at around 1 or 2 am and wake up either at 6am (if I go jogging), or at 9am (regular days).

RYA reminded me about cold weather and sleep.

Sometimes if it\'s cold, there is no way to get me out of bed.  I\'m serious, if it\'s below 50 outside I won\'t show up for class, they\'ll see me in the frick\'n spring.

I don\'t generally have a sleep schedule. I go till I drop and sleep for as long as it takes me. One rule.. I hate mornings. I\'ve been on a 2nd/3rd shift schedule since I was a freshman in Highschool. I\'d jus wake up long enough to drag my ass to school and then sleep through the first three to four classes.

I never go to sleep before 2am, usually go about 3 or 4am. And usually I have to wake up 7:15a, to go to school or work (depending on summer or winter of course).

Then I take naps during classes and when I get home. I have a f*cked up sleeping routine :p
