MS buys another PC game for the Xbox

With Neverwinter Nights finally out and Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic well on its way, BioWare have dropped the first hints of what we can expect from them next. In contrast to their recent releases, the developer\'s latest projects will both be based on original concepts, rather than building on the foundations of Dungeons & Dragons\' Forgotten Realms or the Star Wars universe.

The first game will be an Xbox title to be published by Microsoft, with BioWare\'s co-founder Dr Ray Muzyka commenting that "they clearly share BioWare\'s vision and commitment to quality". The result will be "an all-new epic Xbox roleplaying game". The second title (also a role-playing game) will be released on the PC, but as they haven\'t even started looking for a publisher for it yet it\'s no doubt some way off still. All we know at this early stage is that BioWare are looking forward to creating their own unique universe for the game, and that it will be "an immersive BioWare RPG experience in the tradition of games like Baldur\'s Gate and Neverwinter Nights". Which is reason enough to get excited.

/me can\'t contain his excitement
And neither can the japaneese

This is an exclusive title, not a PC port.

Well all you guys loved Baulder\'s Gate: DA (me too).  Baulder\'s Gate for the PC is incredible.  Neverwinter Nights is great.  This isn\'t 3DO, this dev has talent.

I\'m not sure why this announcement is getting mocked.

It\'s only a PC game if it\'s on PC.  BG:DA is on PS2, got great reviews.  You always mock xbox because you are a complete ignorant fanboy.

You don\'t even know what the game is--it could be a platformer for all you know.  But I guess we can always count on you for idiocy.

EDIT: I know Bob, it was directed at our resident moron.

I\'m not saying the game will be crappy, Bioware is a great developer.. Its just the stereotype the xbox is creating. Its very obviously an american console.. Without japaneese support it will NEVER get 1st or 2nd place. Simple as that

Why do you care?  You\'re not Japanese.  It\'s potentially a very good game, from a very good dev, yet you flame it because of sales in Japan.

I guess why you ask for logic from a moron, you get this.

I was raised on Japaneese games, I love japaneese games.
Have you been playing games since the NES age?
Without xbox sales in japan, it will never get japaneese support. You fail to see that, or rather ignore it cause its hard to face it.

Oh ok :)  All is forgiven Watchy.

Well now there\'s really not much to debate in this thread is there?  XBox is getting another game, it\'ll probably be good, but it\'s hurting the XBox stereotype?

:)

lol ooseven!

No, Chrono, I\'ve been playing since intellivision.

You were raised on Japanese games--LOL, now I\'ve heard it all (that would explain your English though).  You were raised on/by inbred, redneck hillbillies or I\'ll print this page out and eat it.
