I thought this game was supposedly getting horrible reviews.  Looks great, but plays poopie.  Maybe I\'m wrong.  I guess I\'ll just go back to OT and veg....

The only negative reviews I have seen from this game are from Aaron from this this board, and Be On Edge at Gaming Age forum. Most have been realatively postive. But, I am expecting people to be dissappointed in this game simply because, they are trying to do the impossible (live up to the insane hype which no game could), but could still be a great game by it self.

As for controls, thats a wait and see for me. Many games, I thought the controls sucked at first (Resident Evil for example) but got used to them and eventually enjoyed the game for what it is.
Opinions are not important.

What I\'ve read until now from previews is that the gameplay where you play on foot, like for example in buildings is superb.
Kinda like MGS2 or up to par with that. The only downside was
the driving. Seems they need to pump up the framerate alot
in the final product for when Mark is driving a car. I hope Soho
gets it all fixed :hold:

wow, those screens rock! Nice textures there too. Lets hope that they manage to get rid of those bugs that Aaron and those other critics went on about... (mainly framerate) :)

I\'m still leaning towards GTA Vice City but I\'ll still give Getaway a whirl.

Cute specular effect on the doors. Nice characters. Crappy shadows for the vehicles. Still looks barren.

I want a demo.

from a visual standpoint this game rocks, especially the indoor environments.  But if the framerate isn\'t locked in, then this is a game many will frown upon.  Here\'s to hoping everything gets fixed before release. :smokin:

Looks very clean and nice IMO.

I HOPE the framerate will be stable.. In some videos it looks stable but in the trailer it seems very choppy (more choppy than GTA3).
Btw, the game will have no loadingtimes? I read something about a "tunnel loading system" they were using so the game is streaming data from the DVD all the time.

The game has load times when it has to load the fmv\'s takes about 5 seconds but when your playing it there will be no load times has it will be streaming all the data for London off the disc
