A match made in heaven
« on: August 07, 2002, 02:27:40 PM »
I just finished fixing my old NES today, and to save space, I placed it on the top of my ps2, only to find out the NES was too big.  So I switched it around and put the NES on the bottom, when suddently it hit me.  If you line up the backs of the consoles when they\'re on top of each other, you\'ll notice that when you open the NES\'s game door, it fits perfectly, and I mean PERFECTLY under the ps2\'s overhang in the front.  I just thought I should let everyone know.  Its like they were meant to be together.....

Yeah, I have way too much time on my hands.  It took me a whopping 10 minutes to re-assemble my NES and put it under my ps2 and write this thread.  I cant believe I\'m replying to you.  I\'m glad your pants fit.

Congratulations on the NES repair. I take it you opted for the 72-Pin Connector, instead of buying another used NES or a top loading NES? If so - have you experienced any problems since you changed out the pin connector?

yeah L-I-C, it works great so far.. I havent had any problems.  The only thing that worries me a little bit is that the games fit really snugly in there.  I dont want to pull a game out and bend the pins.  Guess the only thing I should do is be careful.

I have an old NES downstairs but I can\'t even play it anymore.  To many bad memories of me beating the hell out of it trying to get it to play Mario 3.
