i\'ve yet to have any huge problems with Xp in gaming. I\'ve had strange problems with Thps2 and WC3, but updates fixed them. Anyway, games are being made to support XP these days..  There\'s always compatibilty mode too. :) but 2000 on the otherhand.. That has problems with a lot of games, it wasn\'t built for gaming anywayz.

Well I got one for real. For the past few days I havn\'t been able to sign in to the forums,or even read the forums as a guest for that matter.I figured I had been banned, although I couldn\'t imagine why.A quick run of my weekly virus scan this morning revealed I\'m an idiot.

Here\'s what happened. While I was at a friends house watching monday nights game my g/f was at home on the pc and d/l something called desktop kitty or something like that,([her]alot of people at work had it on their desktop)and it was in fact a virus.I don\'t know how many times I\'ve told her not to d/l anything with an .EXE extension.Or not to download anything with out running a virus scan on it first.Oh well it\'s not like I didn\'t make the same mistake when I first started using pc\'s.Except mine was the Emanuel.EXE,that was a bad one.

I figured out it was a virus when I couldn\'t play Half Life,or CS,or evenSimcity3000.Well I\'m not that computer savvy, everything I\'ve learned about pc\'s I\'ve learned on my own over the last two years,so something like this is a big problem for me.So I did the only thing I know to do.Completely uninstall everything on my pc and start over from scratch.It\'s been an all day process.I just finished installing all the basics, including my zonealarm, popup stopper,d/l accelerator, aim, and all my games.Next up is file planet for all my patches and CS.

Just thought I would share this with you all so you can revel in my pain and frustration. And now it\'s off to file planet to stand in line for a couple hours.

Well I\'m done and everything runs fine for the most part, but I\'m still having a weird problem. When i click on threads(all forums not just this one)I enter the thread like normal, but now I have to click the back button in my browser window two and sometimes three times to get back to the threadlist.Anybody have any ideas what I need to do to fix this?
