although the loopholes on that site are intentional

Yeah, by that definition it is hacking. But when I think about hacking I think about getting access to big mainframes and stuff like that. Not viewing the source code to a website that was made for it.

try2hack is merely a test for beginners

sammy, there is no real "direct" access to a mainframe
you have to go thru one of its terminals regardless

i know enough to gain access to windows box\'s thru the use of tools, and not pure code.  which would be considered an insult to a veteran hacker.  unix is an entirely different animal and is far out of my grasp also

i have no aspiration to hack tho, it just gives me something to learn (and do) while im bored at school/work

Hehe, thanks for this, it should be fun trying.  I just got past level 2 and am about to start 3.  I\'ll update if/when I advance.
