Legacy of Emotion: Reborn
« on: August 16, 2002, 08:57:13 AM »
I\'ve been thinking about starting a PSX2Central version of Legacy of Emotion.  Unlike my last attempt that I was planning over a year ago, this one will focus soley on this forum alone, thereby making development much easier.

Fortunately, I won\'t be starting from scratch this time.  I\'ll be incorporating some systems that I designed for the PS2Web version of LoE, including custom battle and custom menu systems.  Both are still incomplete, but I doubt it will take much longer to finish either of them.

So I posted this topic to see how many members would still be interested in an RPG like this.  If enough people want it and I start development, I\'d really need some help from a few of the veteran members who are willing to try and answer questions I may have.

I\'ve been a member here for a long time, but I still don\'t know a lot about this forum\'s history.  Therefore, unlike the previous LoE, the new game will focus much more on the characters alone inside an original world, rather than simply throwing the characters into a world that was intended to symbolize this forum itself.  This\'ll make it a lot easier for me to keep building upon the game, as I won\'t have to continually ask myself if the story is staying true to the events that happened here before my time.

I\'m sure I\'m confusing a lot of you right now, so I\'ll get back to the point:  Please reply with your thoughts on a new PSX2Central LoE RPG, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask them here too.

I\'ve been bored tonight, so here\'s a sample:

It\'s the custom battle system I\'m working on.  Still early, so the graphics are a little rough around the edges.  Please note that those may or may not be the final sprites for those particular characters;  I\'m just using them for reference right now.

I was also thinking of creating a topic later on where you all could vote on which members would be playable.  I don\'t want to try including 100+ PCs like I almost did last time, so I\'ll need to know who you guys want to be able to play as in the game.

SoulGrind must be the final boss!

And he must be very... very.... ugly..

Other than that, the graphics are sweet!  Are you still using RPGMaker2k?

maybe souly could have a large stick up his ass, in which he uses to beat people with.
