I don\'t think Sega is that great compared to any other company.  And I don\'t think any other company is that great compared to Sega.  Just about all of them release good games, and all of them release crappy games as well.  I don\'t get excited when company X announces a new game.  I only get excited when company X\'s game sounds like something I would like.

Capcom is fine, but their survival horror and prerendered backgrounds get to me.  Like I said, it\'s all personal preference.

As for pre-rendered backgrounds, when they look as good as RE:Rebirth and Onimusha 2 -  I could care less if they are pre-rendred. All I know and care about is the fact they are gorgeous.

I wouldn\'t put dev over Blizzard.  Blizzard is quality fun everytime.

Sega is right up there.  They do so many genres well, there isn\'t a single dev out there that has as diverse a portfolio as Sega does.

Capcom knows fighters, but their Surival Horror is stale to me though.  I\'d rank them 3rd.

EA, Square and the rest are a big group behind them, they all release a good game every now and then.

I\'m with you Watch, in that Sega does every genre and they do it well but lately, they have been disappointing. The last great Sega game was Shenmue 2, which was almost a year ago.

So I gotta go with Clip that the best 3rd party is Capcom.

VF4 = 3-d Fighting perfection

Everything else from SEGA this year = underwhelming... maybe PDO will fix this.

Make no mistake, SEGA is still a top notch developer, but all of their 3rd party games have had a certain lack of polish to them (with the exception of VF4, naturally ).

As for people caring about what plataform a game is on, well I don\'t know about anyone else but I myself want to see the games I cherish get the recognition they deserve, and in this industry recognition comes in the form of sales. Although I\'m sure l33t hard core gamers like Altered enjoy games more when they\'re obscure underground titles, and proceed to lose all interest in them once they become mainstream.

It doesn\'t take a half brained duck that the person who started this post is being paid by SEGA to start small guerilla wars in online forums to gain market "mindshare"..with a little bonus from MS. LOL.

Here\'s how I see it. Sega is providing EVERY console with high quality games which means enjoyable and great games for everyone. Is there more to it than that? So what if Sega isn\'t giving PS2 the vast majority of their games(they are getting the majority of them btw)? I thought PS2 was getting an endless onslaught of high-quality games anyways?

Really, the people who are complaining about Sega are just picking the freaking bones.

I wouldn\'t say shit, but they could be given them better like Panzer Dragoon.

They\'re given PS2 first access to arguably the best sports games. There\'s more great games released and on the way too- Rez, VF4 is simply the best fighting game that\'s probably ever going to be released on PS2, Shinobi, eventually Skies Of Arcadia(w00t Cube gets here first), Virtua Cop Rebirth, and more later on. PS2 is getting the better games compared to GameCube atleast.
