I\'m starting to get really bad color bleeding on my Sony Wega TV.  I\'m not sure of the model number, I guess I could look it up on Sony website, but it\'s the 27" model with the speakers on the sides.

I\'m really just looking for a way to fix the color bleeding.  There has to be some way to do it.  I wouldn\'t expect the model of the TV to make a difference, but if you think I need to post it I\'ll look it up...

I doubt you\'re going to find anyone qualified to repair direct view televisions on this forum.  You should post your question on a home theater forum, or just take it to be evaluated at a Sony authorized repair shop.

If it\'s not under warranty you need to decide how bad you want Sony to fix it instead of someone else.  B/c Sony will try to ream you a new butthole $$$.

You could make sure your color levels are correct (optimize with a DVD made for such things). Then make sure you\'re using the best possible connection (S-video at least). Unless of course it\'s also there when watching \'normal\' TV. :)

did you try getting drunk, and cursing at the tv?  Also have tried throwing your empty beer can/bottel at the screen?

If it is it might need degaussing, like pc monitors sometimes do.

It\'s just while watching TV, I haven\'t seen it in videogames yet.  It really happens when I\'m watching cartoons.  Heavy black outlines of characters bleed really bad into the color.

Try fine tuning the station when it is visible. The auto tuning doesn\'t always give the best signal. I did it with my 32" widescreen sony wega and it makes a big difference with bright colours (cartoons, adverts, etc).

I hope you are either under warranty or bought an extended warranty on it.  I would never ever ever ever own a Sony TV if it did not have an extended warranty on it.  Even their monitors don\'t seem to last.

I am not saying its true for every tv, but more often then not I have heard of problems with Sony\'s larger tube Tv\'s - reason I ended up buying a Mitsubishi TV
