I found this article regarding the "Halo killer" by Sony
here:
------------------------Exclusive NEXT-LEVEL GAMING PREVIEW

--------------------Pre Alpha Preview- BLOODLUST: Terrorist Haven
---------Planned to be released fall of 2005, Sony\'s BloodLust plans to revolutionize the first person shooter genre. 25 year old, Scott Richards a brand new, fresh out of college producer, has a vision, a vision to fully immerse the player into the game, like no other game before. "This will be totally different from any other game you have played before, extremely original." -- Richards.
--------- BloodLust is planned to take full advantage of the PS2 and the Emotion Engine and PS2\'s Hard drive. BloodLust\'s development started in 2001, and will take the full four years to be completed. High resolution textures, heavy bump mapping, and very high polygon characters and worlds, will all be in BloodLust. "This game will trample all over Halo in every way especially in the graphics dept. "--Richards. Worlds are huge and expansive, with living, growing exotic rain forests that you will actually be able to wander through and explore.
--------- Richards actually got movie screenplay writers to make the story, Richards promises a deep enthralling story line that can even contend with the likes of MGS2. Not much of the story is known but what is known is that it takes place in year 2010 you have to assassinate the leader of a terrorist group, that secretly has a warhead that they plan on launching on the capital of the U.S. There are two parts of the game. In the first part you start off on the island of the terrorist as Dave Jameson, with five other team members on your side. You will have a camp you must go back to at the end of each day, yes there is a time schedule, a sun rise and a sunset, the days are as of now 30 minutes(7 am to 12 pm). Your objective is a simple one, but hard to do, you have to get to the heavily armed base, on your way you will encounter several terrorist soldiers, savage animals and savage tribe members. The second part is actually at the terrorist base and the time schedule is then turned off. You will have to rely heavily on stealth, sneaking past several guards at once and finding hidden passages.
---------While in the first part, you will find many journals of fellow dead members that attempted this before you. No you wont have to read them, they will be done in CG, these journals will reveal more of the story and foreshadow upcoming events (maybe bosses?). Your team members will not just be faceless computer characters you know nothing about, you learn more about them, there past, why they are here, love interests, etc.. this will be done with random camp fire\'s at night. Speaking of at night, things will happen, you may be attacked, by tribe members or animals, or new objectives may make you do some late night missions, though you may not feel like doing them..............
----------The Emotion Engine, no not the processor but something different, something that will show you exactly what your character feels. There will be three meters, a drowse meter, a scared meter and a adrenaline meter. When your drowse meter is high, your vision will be blurred, you\'ll blink, and move slower. The drowse meter will rise when you have to wake up in the middle of the night to do something or have night missions, or when you just stay up to late, coffee and some caffeine pills can help this(better keep\'m in supply). When your scared meter is high, you\'ll be shaky you\'re aim will be off, you\'ll sweat, you will actually see sweat dripping down on your screen. Your scared meter rises when you hear things you don\'t know what they are, you may here Screams, rustling in the trees, gunfire and other things, it also rises when your low on health. When your adrenaline meter rises you have a better aim and move alot faster. The adrenaline meter rises when you make a nice kill, sneak by multiple guards, finish objectives, etc.
------------The Voice actors in this game are going to be top notch, real stars will be the Voice actors, although no body is final yet for any of the characters. The script for this game will be almost equivalent to an R rated movie, when people are shot, you WILL hear swearing and a lot of it, to make it as real as possible, although your character will not swear, Richards will leave that to you. In fact you get to customize well.... yourself, you make up Dave Jameson\'s appearance from head to toe at the start of the game and whatever suit you choose, the other members will wear the same thing.
-----------Right now theres only a pre-alpha version, its not looking all that great right now but they 3 years to work on it, Richards, tells me there are still a lot more things in the game, but wants to keep somethings a secret and maybe will tell us later in its development, This IS Sony\'s HALO KILLER.
Cool, but damn that\'s going to be a long wait.
We\'ll probably see PS3 before then:surprised
