Part of my point was that the basis of the music is for shock and attenion getting. Eminem loves attenion and gets it.

I disagree with this. I have been to countless concerts(rap, rock, pop, R&B, etc.). The only genres that consistently have numerous "violent" injuries are rock concerts. I\'ve seen stuff at rock concerts that if started at a rap concert would have it shut down INSTANTLY.

So basically what you are saying is that Rock music is not a detriment to society? Tell me how Rock makes this world a better place? To sit there and bad mouth rap like it is the only form of music that produces controversial and negative lyrics is BULLSHIT. Especially when compared to Rock. I have to go with Gohan on this. How do you explain things like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails or many other rock / industrial bands? They are all angst, violence based music. To say rap is the only music that influences kids to do violent acts is simply short-sighted. Why can\'t a kid who likes rock music such as Manson want to be violent? Seems to be the exact same thing to me.
