If I start thinking about this subject, my imagination zaps me too far into the future when games will be so realistic there will be practically no distinction between the game and reality. I can’t bring myself down to a more currently reachable concept. In the meantime, there must be
Some major new improvement right around the corner that will give us a reason to ooh and aah. Will it be more interactive environments? Photo-realistic graphics? Larger worlds? Longer games? What do you think it will be first?

Sounds expensive. It won\'t be as fulfilling as the real thing, though.

i think that on the fly, terrain development would be the next BIG step. That way you could travel forever and never see the same thing twice. would be great for an RPG or a Racer.

Sure, it will be expensive in the beginning... and it will be fulfilling, or Matrix\'s inhabitants weren\'t happy living their virtual lifes?

being able to control the game with your mind....i read someplace that some dude is developing a machine that can read brainwaves and control the game through them...

Reading brain waves have been around for some time...scientist can now figure out simple letters from the mind already..

Anyway, the next biggest technological jump will be SONY finally implementing easy to access FSAA into the PS3 hardware...LOL.

Well heres what I like to see. Interactive holograms. I know I know, this kind of technology will most likely not come to be in our lifetime but just think of the possibilities. Yeah I wish I could beam aboard the enterprise and just live on their holodecks.
