Mulholland Drive - WTF was David Lynch thinking?

Ok, I just finished watching MD on DVD. Can someone please explain to me WTF its about?

I still have no clue even that I have really tried to figure the movie out

Hmm now you\'re making me wanna go rent it.

There was a thread about this in rants and raves awhile back.  I think the film can be interpreted in a few different ways.  Movie buffs like to argue about what it\'s really about.  I honestly think that Lynch didn\'t want it to be 100% explainable.  

You definitely have to see it more than once.  I recommend that you go over to imdb.com, search Mulholland Dr., and go to the message boards.  They have people who write 3-page essays about their particular interpretation of the movie, and some of them are damn good.

The DVD was disappointed though, wasn\'t it?  No extras.  No commentary.  No chapter stops.

I haven\'t seen it, but hard to figure out doesn\'t necessarily mean bad.

I\'m surprised you haven\'t heard of it. Some people think it\'s a masterpiece; other people hate it. Either way I think it warrents at least one viewing.

Well, I did a bit of research. The first half of the movie is evidently a dream. Betty is dreaming of what her life will be (The lady that gets hit by a car is her future self).

So in esence, she has sex with herself in the movie.

I love the movie, but I have to agree with Sara, the DVD was dissapointing. I went out and purchased it as soon as possible to find out that it came with nothing of interest, except the movie itself. Oh well... Still a great movie.

David Lynch=God

I love his movies because after you watch a Lynch movie, you think about the movie. The movies are very strange and sometimes you think WTF is this bullshit, but that\'s what it makes so interesting.
