The refs in the Giants-Rams game blew it...

The Giants were on the Ram 5 when Collins fumbled... a St.  Louis DB picked it up and was headed to the other endzone when the ref called it back!!

Result=rams lose by 5.

If that fumble was called the rams would have won.

There is no way the Rams score on that play, if it\'s called a fumble.  The whistles were blowing, so people stopped, and the running back, and even part of the recovering of the ball was after the play was dead and most had stopped playing.  The refs didn\'t blow it, and I\'ll say it again, only the shallowest fans blame refs.  The refs didn\'t blow it, the Rams did.  Shut up, and take the loss like a man, instead of making bullshit excuses.

Clowd - right. No way in hell that wasn\'t a fumble, and the Rams guy who picked it up was well on his way. Besides, the Rams has plenty of chances with the ball, and that play would have had a huge momentum swing.

In other terms, Tony - suck on it.

What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

Rams blow, one play doesn\'t make a game.

Are you telling me that Oklahoma didn\'t have a chance to score after that, or score more before that?  A single play can win a game, but it can\'t make a game.  Besides, even if the Rams recover that, they don\'t score on that play, and the way the Giants were playing, they don\'t score that drive either.  The Giants outplayed the Rams, and the Rams had plenty of chances.  They blew them, and they lost.  They deserved to lose, because they were outplayed and didn\'t take advantage when they had opportunities.  They have no one to blame but themselves, and a true fan of the sport would see that.  Besides, don\'t tell me they haven\'t gotten those calls in the past.

I\'m not a fan of either team. But I\'m not blinded by the fact that it WAS  a fumble.

Did Oklahoma score? They didn\'t. Why? Nebraska was up by 10 with 6 minutes left, and the momentum was obviously in Nebraska\'s favor. Oklahoma didn\'t score once in the 2nd half of that game.

Well, there you go.  Oklahoma could have scored before that play, but didn\'t.  They set themselves up for that situation.  That play doesn\'t happen...say it\'s incomplete...well Nebraska is still winning, and the Sooner O still is struggling.  It is very possible nothing changes.  Sure, there are momentum switches, but teams can take momentum back.  If they can\'t, they don\'t deserver to win.

Yes, it was a fumble, and a blown call, but from the angle the refs had, it isn\'t as obvious as the angle we have.  It\'s not like that was the only questionable call in the game, it\'s just what the losers will focus on, because they can\'t accept the fact that they were beaten.  Besides, let\'s not forget that the giants were kneeling down the ball in field goal range to end the game.  If the Rams scored, the Giants could have easily gotten it back there.

Only if they would\'ve thrown it to.....SHOCKEY :)  Blown calls happen in every game, Im sure the Rams have won before on a call that could\'ve went the other way but didn\'t....btw another blown call on Sunday- Edgerrin James on the 3rd attempt on the goal line, he was in the endzone and they pushed him out and the refs said no TD...thus proving my above point.
