The Merge bewteen Console Discussion and Console Debating..

I\'m sure quite a few of you have noticed that Console Debating is gone and all those threads have been moved over to Console Discussion . Here is what happened, to clear up any confusion.

MM and Ryu decided to close down Console Debating due to the fact it wasn\'t goin\' anywhere, except the same tired threads and same people fighting over and over. Put simply, for the most part it was a waste of server space and only caused more problems than it did good. In the meantime , Console Discussion was actually workin\' out and was encougaring civil discussions on the industry and games alike. The descision to shut down Console Debating was made.

When this happened, Ryu moved all the threads over to Discussion that way (1) we could continue to use the threads, as there was a couple worth noting and (2) that way they would always be viewable to the general members, for whatever reason. In the process of this, somehow or another an accident was made and Discussion \'s threads was deleted. I\'ve heard quite a few members ask where the threads went and complain about it. Well, there is good news and bad news. Some of the threads apparently can be restored and some can\'t. If you remember a specific thread and you want it back, please PM me and I\'ll tell Ryu about it and he\'ll see what he can do. I can\'t gurantee you\'ll get the thread back or not, but Ryu has already brought one thread back from the dead ("Your latest game purchases..." , which he also merged with part 2.) ..

Movin\' on... I have noticed quite a few people who have moved over to Discussion with the same mentality they had with Debating . Let me clear this up for once and all... The main purpose of DIscussion is to remain civil and talk about the industry. It is not to argue with one and another. This does not mean you cannot have another opinion and state it. It just means we want to keep things civil and do not want any flame wars.

Finally, hopefully all of us can adjust to this change and enjoy it. All of us moderators and Admin\'s are currently trying to weed out some of the trash (i.e, some of the Debating threads and posts) .

Oh and put your pitchforks down.. It\'s not time to kill Ryu yet. He is new to this whole Admin thing and is easily confused when he is put infront of a lot of options and a lot of buttons.

Anyways, back on topic, I finally feel as though the forums are getting back to normal.  Not like they used to be, but not as bad as they had become.

Don\'t know if you guys remember me...I liked Console Debating.  I have some fond memories of it actually.

Any chance we\'ll get it back?
