A company in Australia is trying to get permission to sell alcoholic strawberry, banana and chocolate flavored milk drinks. The alcoholic milk will have a 5.3% alcohol content which is stronger than most beers.
Wicked Holdings is planning to call the new beverage Moo Joose, but at the moment is appealing a refusal from the Victoria Liquor Licensing Board which says the product will encourage alcohol abuse and misuse.
An Australian Drug Foundation spokesman says producing alcohol in this form will put it within the reach of every child. A spokeswoman for Wicked Holdings says the drink has been researched and meets the standards of other products.
