I actually think it\'s kinda cool to see this stuff.  Although some PR with it would have been nice too.

I know one was about Sega and Xbox having the most popular booths so far...I\'ll see if I can find it.

The long awaited Tokyo GameShow 2002 opened this morning at the Makuhari Messe, located in Chiba prefecture. Albeit only open to members of the media, the show drew sizable crowds within its first hours of operation. The number of companies participating this year has risen to 85, up from only 53 last year. With much fanfare, the show was declared open by Japan\'s Minister of the Economy and CESA chairman Kenzo Tsujimoto in a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony.

Inside the exhibition halls, Microsoft and Sega undeniably appear to have the most popular booths thus far. Microsoft\'s booth in particular has dozens of upcoming Xbox games including playable versions of recently unveiled online games including Fishing Live Online and True Fantasy Online among others. Players can compete for commemorative T-shirts in several game contests, or virtually strap-in to futuristic XboxLive gameplay capsules.

Sega\'s booth was abuzz today with a series of stage presentations and game demonstrations. In terms of playable goodies, an early version of Virtual On: Marz is on display for the PlayStation 2. Other games available for attendees include Phantasy Star Online for Xbox, and Sonic MegaCollection for GameCube. Elsewhere on the show floor, Capcom has playable kiosks featuring the upcoming GameCube horror title Biohazard 0. To our surprise, an early version of the latest PlayStation 2 thriller ClockTower 3 is also on display. Visitors to Capcom\'s booth will also find Devil May Cry 2 and Red Dead Revolver among the company\'s list of key attractions. Below are a variety of booth pictures taken early this afternoon, stick to XenGamers for continuing coverage.
