Where you live
« on: September 23, 2002, 04:10:14 PM »
I live in a suburb with a population of 500,000.  There are a lot of rich folks here so its common to see sport cars and $100 jeans all over the place.  The biggest problem I gotta say about where I live is that its too crowded and gangs are EVERYWHERE.

Edit: I forgot to say I live in Arlington Texas, right in between Dallas and Ft. Worth.

I live in Nor Cal, so we have a mix of the stereotypical Californian, and hicks.  The hicks are a bit bothersome just for the fact that many of them were raised in the city, and have never actually seen a cow before.  Yet they still wear their Wranglers, cowboy hat, and boots.  And talk with a southern accent, yet they were born and raised in Cali.

Bethlehem, New York, a suburb of Albany.  Not sure of the population, but if it gives you any idea, we have about 1500 people in our high school.  It is largely middle class, but there is a mix from all areas in there.  There are 5 parts to Bethlehem: Delmar, Slingerlands, Clarksville, Glenmont, and Elsmere.  It varies a lot depending on what section you are in.  In Delmar, you get more of the richer types, while in Clarksville you get more of the hick types.

It\'s not at all overcrowded, and gangs are pretty much nonexistant.  It\'s a pretty nice place, really.

Currently..north miami beach. EVREYTHING down here..rednecks,decent folk..gangs..wanna be thugs..solo thugs TONS of money..TONS..every other day, if not everyday I see some type of exotic car.  800,000 rice boys/girls...I dont notice much crowd...even during the tourist season as there seems to be room for everyone except in south beach or on I95. population of roughly 2,289,683

Previously from chicago..basically the same thing as above except I dont see exotics all of the time and it is quite crowded. population of about 5,376,741

Omaha, Nebraska baby.  I\'m not sure on the population, I don\'t really care.  Not too big, but not too small.  And plenty of corn to go around! mmmm corn.

I live in New Jersey, and the suburban part, so we build houses on top of houses. From my room I can reach out and touch my neighbor\'s house.  So sad.

I live out in the boonies of Northern Indiana. Yeah I know, save your sympathies... I\'ve lived here my entire life... I\'ve gotten used to it. My nearest neighbors are about a quarter mile away. It\'s peaceful, free, and beautiful. It\'s also a helluva long way from civilization.. a real pain in the ass when you\'re trying to look for a job and have no cash for gas money since you have to go about 20 miles to the closest town.. and about 60 miles to the closest real metropolitan area (Fort Wayne).

I live directly between two cities. Columbia City is a sh*thole, so I\'ll talk about Warsaw. Population around 60,000.. and a pretty nice place to live. Voted as 48th best little town in America in a 1995 USA today publication. Gangs are around, but not too much of a problem because of how laid back everything is. They jus don\'t ***** with each other much out here. It\'s situtated directly on US30 which makes it a perfect stopover for drugrunners comming from Chicago on their way to the East coast. Coincidentally, Warsaw is also the drug capital of Indiana. There\'s more narcotics in this town per-capita than Ft. Wayne, Indianapolis, South Bend, and Kendalville combined. Now I know why it\'s so laid back up there. :D

It\'s also the Biometics capital of the world. Several large firms like Biomet, Zimmer, and DePey have their world headquarters in Warsaw. If you have a prostetic ANYTHING, chances are it came out of Warsaw. There\'s quite a few rich big wigs and their poser kids, but they\'re a minor problem compaired to all the Mexicans. Not to say that I have anything against people of a Mexican decent.. I jus hate boarder jumpers. It\'s pretty frickin sad when the city council is seriously debating on weither or not to go around adding "ALTO" to all the stop signs cause these guys can\'t understand english and constantly run thru stop signs killing innocent bystanders.
