Greets, Sublime :)

Life has been smiling lately. Exams have been quite easy, and even as I am a lazy studier, I have survived in high school. New hobbies include Tennis, which truly is *my* sport ( I am quite good at it, too ) and drawing; a skill which was long-forgotten.

i like tennis, though i suck at it, cos i used to play basketball alot, and have to flick your wrist when you shoot.. while tennis you have to keep it rigid ( you wrist)... so i kinda suck, though i could serve very good

Kopking, you are correct. When you serve, the most important factor - besides timing - is your wrist movement. You have to hit the ball high and hard.

Samwise, you have my recommendation(s) ;) Tennis is a very fun and rewarding sport once you get the hang of it. Took me a year, but then again, I\'m not *that* talented ;)

Bozco, how long have you hobbied the sport? Do you prefer doubles or singles ( tournament-wise )?

luckee, whether you believe it or not, I do remember you :) Agreed, I have been absent for a long time - but it doesn\'t mean that I would have completely alienated myself from the boards ;) Not much has changed since I left - the core of regular members is still pretty much the same. I love the new additions \'tho :)

I\'m 17 now and I\'ve played since I was 4.  Now I\'m on varsity for my high school.  Tennis is amazingly pretty big here too, we have 3 teams.  This year I have the potential to be #2 in the school but would rather play doubles.  Though I prefer singles because of my speed, it seems doubles is a more rewarding win and takes more teamwork and overall smarts.  And I\'ll make it farther in the state tournament which is a bonus.

You would beat me without any problems what-so-ever, me thinks ;)

Tennis is a pretty big sport here in Kokkola too, if compared to the level of activity elsewhere. Yet we only have one, single club and three teams ( divided into age-groups ).

Their are about 3 tennis clubs around my area and what I can say is that its overpriced.  I only take lessons in the winter, right before my season.  During the summer I would much rather go practice at a park with my coach or some other educated players.

During both summers and winters, I have two Tennis lessons per week. Last summer, which has - unfortunately - passed away, I played approximately 2-4 hours nearly every day. So I progressed and learnt more during three-month summer-period than the 8-9 month Winter-season.
