I dont understand the concept of setting global laws when there is no global ruler.

The UN is in its demise.  It is about to go the way of the League of Nations.  The US doesn\'t need the UN and hardly any of its resolutions are successful.  Yes we owe the largest dues, but is it worth it?  We contribute the most, yet get nothing in return.  It time to bury this dinosaur.

Israel hasn\'t invaded any other countries.  They were defending themselves from the Arabs and WON!  With winning they took the territory for security purposes.  It was not Israel who launched the Arab Israeli wars.  The Arabs are to blame for the Palestinian situation - not the other way around.  

I really don\'t understand why people in this country and especially Europeans think Saddam is a reasonable guy who poses no threat.  Wake up.  At least Tony Blair has some balls to say the truth no matter if its popular or not.  Iraq is a lose cannon and trying to link the Iraq crisis and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is really grasping.

I read a very interesting book once about Iraq building a secret weapon. I don\'t recall the title, but it was something like "The Hand of God". Basically it was about them building a long range nuclear weapon (I think; it\'s kinda fuzzy right now). Unpleasent story anyway.

EDIT: Forgot to add that they did this with the help from western countries. Yes, including the US.

i didn\'t even defend IRAQ i just used it as a play on words to get a point across.

You can\'t take action against Iraq by saying they have been breach of UN resolutions all these years, when the Israelis have occupied Palestinian for even longer !

NO !

The Palestinians evacuated Palestine after the first Arab Israeli war at the urging of the other Arab states with the promise that they could return soon because the destruction of Israel was imminent.  Well as we all know they tried a few times and were beaten in every one.  The Palestinians could have had a country in 1947 but DID NOT accept the UN Resolution creating Israel and Palestine.  Please don\'t bring up UN Resolutions when this whole situation was caused by the Arabs refusing to adhere to a Resolution adopted in 1947.  The Arab world as a whole rejected the idea of a Jewish state in the Middle East.  So you see, the Pals are their own worst enemy.  

As far as the US giving aid to the Israelis - well the USSR gave them aid as well as aiding the Arab states.  It was just another theatre of the Cold War.  Where do you think the Egyptians and the Syrians got their MiGs???????  This is typical to blame the US for their own shortcomings.  They had more weapons and men than Israel and were beaten badly.

Good for Isreal - They got neighbors to the North, West, and South of them pointing every gun they have at them waiting for sign of weakness so they can attack...
