check yer manual for max resolution/refresh rate

for a good 17" it should do:

100mhz at 600x600 or
85mhz at 1024x768

be carefull going too high, you CAN damage yer monitor

depends on the monitor, I have a samsung 900nf one of the best 19inch crt out there, it;s running right now at 120hz refresh rate at 1152x864 res. Beautiful monitor uses the Diamondtron tube.

And if u use Win XP remember to get a program like Powerstrip or similar that can force the Hz higher then 60
MM told me to have a 5 line signature. I count now
1
2
and 5th line there it is :)

Ugh, a low refresh rate is the WORST thing ever. I can\'t stand anything below 75 hz (for all you n00bs out there - be sure to check that you\'re NOT running 60 Hz or anything like it - it tires the eyes a lot).

I actually found out yesterday and for the res I run, 1280x1024 it can handle 60hz
