I\'ve decided to finally get myself a PS2. Now, I need advice on what games to get with it. I will likely buy it in a couple weeks or so, and might get about 3 games with it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a good combination of games, preferrably with contrasting styles of gameplay? I was thinking Final Fantasy X, Madden (with the online adaptor), and maybe a third that is more of an action or adventure title. Any help or suggestions would be great.

FFX and Madden are good choices...

I suggest either Jak & Daxter or Devil May Cry for your adventure fix...or get them both, they\'re 20$ a piece now.

Oh yeah, I HIGHLY suggest Kingdom Hearts.

You won\'t find anything else like it. Think hack \'n slash, but forget everything else you\'ve played in that regards. It\'s got RPG elements, you level up your character, abilities, magic...and it\'s got an amazing story.

Just read my review, you\'ll get the sum of it there.

Get Ace Combat 4 aswell... Very, very good combat sim

Anyhow, if you\'re looking for a Action or Adventure title, I\'d recommend Monkey Island 4. That\'s jus my personal taste tho.

You want an adventure title?

Get ICO. Adventure/puzzle game, and worth every penny.

Seeing as you\'re getting an adapter, SOCOM sounds like a good choice.

Otherwise you will get Grand Theft Auto 3 (or Vice City)

GT3 if your into racing games.

MGS2 is worth getting but you might want to rent first because so many people have differing opinions.

GTA3 is a classic game and definitely worth buying also.

P.S you might want to change your ladder name now!;)

Forget kingdom Hearts. Get Grandia Extreme instead. Or the newly release Legends of Legaia or some of those cheaper classic titles like DMC.

Kingdom Hearts, Onimusha 2, and shortly GTA3:VC which I would reccomend you reserve.

Other good titles, FFX, Madden, Metal Gear Solid, and stunt man isn\'t half bad either.

Some games you can pick up for $20 now, Dark Cloud is a steal at that price.
