Wheres the jaggies, wheres the aliasing?

Why are there such high res textures being used in a PS2 game? 60fps with progressive scan? Geez, I only thought XBOX could do that.

Finally, some proof that PS2 just needs some brains behind the wheel.

Wow, these screens look beautiful. I just haven\'t had too much desire for platformers since the 16-bit era, but I recently bought J&D, and I\'m having a blast with it. And now I have to say this game looks great, too. I may have to get it.

What\'s even more amazing is the animation.  It\'s good to see the beautiful J&D engine put to use :)

Jaggies can be found in the pic with the radar display.
The radar display itself is jagged as ....eh well... eh..
a staircase.

I hope it isn\'t as short as J&D.

J&D = Rental

IMO.

I played a demo of it about 3 weeks ago in one of those Ps2 kioskos and it certainly didnt look as impressive as those pics. Maybe it will look that impressive with a VGA connection but on the regular Ps2 kioskos it only looked above average. The game itself reminded me a bit of Rayman 2 because  there\'s a lot of shooting  involved but it didnt seem as compelling. Judging by the demo i will rent before i  buy. I think the recently released Sly is more fluid and better put togheter than this.

Pictures have obviously been down sampled that’s why they look so clean.. But the real game is not that far off IMO.. Its a very clean looking game. They might be using FSAA in the game.

The textures aren’t very high res though, they\'re pretty blurry but they look fine.

Its 60fps alright and Ive never ever seen it drop (I played a recent demo, 2 levels).. Im not sure if its progressive scan or not but its getting more and more common among PS2 games (Tekken4, Burnout 2, Primal, Socom ect.)

I dont like when the developers release these kind of huge images.. They can be misleading (as seen on Xbox), Im perfectly happy with regular frame buffers (640x512 or whatever) :)

Someone reviewed it already? A month before release?
MAKAVELIUK did you read the review?
If so, what were the great point of the game and what were the bad points of the game?

Thanks!
