Sequels to Sega Rally & Daytona coming to PS2
« on: October 15, 2002, 11:35:41 AM »
I\'m not gonna believe it until IGN or Gamespot report it, has Spong.com like pulling rumours out of their ass like computer & videogames but I would welcome a new Daytona game if true.

http://spong.com/index.asp?art=3881
Incredible news sees cross-platform online Sega racing league go head-to-head!

We can reveal that the next instalment of Sega Rally will initially be created exclusively for PlayStation 2 as part of Sega?s until-now top-secret online racing league.

Following on from yesterday?s revelation that the next Daytona game will debut on Xbox as part of Microsoft?s Xbox Live offering, we can now tell you that a bigger picture is emerging, a bigger picture that will please racing gamers and fulfil their wildest dreams.

Sega will initially release Sega Rally 3, as it is tentatively known, for PlayStation 2, making up part of Sony?s comparatively sparse online offering. As with Daytona, a whole host of customisable options will be available to the player, including several different racer shells.

Following on from the initial PlayStation 2 launch, an Xbox and possibly a GameCube version will be released, again offering cross-platform online racing.

Personally I want to know which platform Sonic3 is going to be released  on right now.Instead of a rumor about Sega making Sega Rally2 or Daytona on PS2.Even if it is true I dont think we will get good PS2 versions.

Gee, more trash for PS2...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

/me gets sick picking pieces of mm\'s skull off the wall.

Erm.. it was just a joke refering to another member\'s comments in a different thread. No need to go El Explosivo on us. Btw.. who the @#^@ elected me as janitor?.. ugh...

Anyhow.. I\'m not too interested. The Gran Tourismo series has always been better than Sega GT IMO, and Daytona has just never grasped my attention for some reason. Still, if it\'s all true then I guess that gives fans of those series something more to look forward to.

BTW: Unicron.. what is it with you and Sonic 3?? In every thread about Sega in the main forum you bring it up. Got a hardon for the fuzzy lil guy or something? :p

He is my favourite platform character. And love all Sonic games.I ve always wanted a Sonic for my next gen console. But I cant find any cheap DC(or even an expensive one) anywhere or any DC games anymore.I ve playied both Sonic Adventures on my friend\'s DC and I am hooked(They have changed my PC\'s windows to 2000 and my ROM cd doesnt work on them and so cant play my 2D Sonics either:mad:.Damn u MS).I want them. And I am desperately hoping to see the next Sonic on PS2 so I could buy it.

Me rikey Chu-chu rocket and their fishing games to come to PS2.

I rike their arcade games....but not quite the same on the console. I don\'t know why for sure. Maybe coz it COST me several pounds of coins! :)

Well, I for one liked Daytona in the Arcade, and I had both the original Saturn Daytona and then the Championship edition remake that I got free whe Sega made updates for the Saturn. It had some major pop-up on the Saturn, but I still had fun with it back then. Now that I\'m spoiled by GT3, I\'ll be interested to see if I still find the Sega games fun.
