Sequel to Resident Evil movie
« on: October 16, 2002, 11:07:09 AM »
The info

Havent seen the first one but a friend of mine saw it and liked it.He told me about the ending refering to the nemesis project and got me interested.
Reading that Jill will appear and Nemesis on the sequel make me to give it a try and watch the sequel.Resi3 created many questions about the story behind Nemesis and why he is searching specifically for stars members.
I hope the sequel\'s story is true to the game series.

I\'ve heard a lot of people complain about the RE movie, but I just thought it was a good, fun, zombie movie, and I actually liked it better than I thought I would when it was first announced. I\'ll see the second one.

I saw the first. Liked the first. Sure, it has tons of flaws (both as a movie, and it being Resident Evil) but still, I enjoyed it. Will see this one.

I watched it, liked it.  I\'ll watch the second one aswell.  Why do so many people look for flaws during movies?  Ive never understood that.

I don\'t look for flaws when watching a movie unless they are blantent. Anything that takes away from my enjoyment of a movie, I would consider a flaw. Things like charecter development and stuff, a FEW things I look for in movies, well, Resident Evil didn\'t really have much of it (and no, I wasn\'t expecting some deep charecter development. Just, at the very least, have the main charecter Alice [Milla Jolovich\'s charecter] named mentioned once [if you haven\'t noticed, her name was NEVER mentioned in the movie]). And as a Resident Evil fanatic (well, okay, more of a fan then a fanatic, but still...) things like the color of the T-Virus and like the date, "flaws" I have noticed in the movie.

That being said, I still enjoyed the movie. Even to the point of buying the DVD, seeing it mulitiple times, and soon will own the 2-disc when it is out just for the extras not found on the original release. ;)

I thought it was an alright flick.. tho I was pretty dissapointed when 3/4ths of the team bit it all at once, negating the chance to have a long drawn out chase scene where people get picked off one by one in inventive and extremely gory ways. It also sucked not seeing the Hunters since they were an intrical part of the Mansion experiments in RE1.

Still, for a videogame movie I think it did very well in staying true to the storyline. Instead of "rewriting" a game.. they had it take place before the events of RE1 (and RE0?) and made it it\'s own seperate story which can be tied into the games without having to change them too much.

Some people really made this movie out to be REALLY bad, but in reality it was OK. It shows some cheapness, but it was entertaining nonetheless... especially the laser cutting part.

IMO, its the best video game 2 movie transition ever. It had this stylish, almost neo modern feel to it. I really enjoyed it. Milla Jovovich was an excellent casting choice.

I loved the ending as well, left so many unanswered questions and really made you think. The sequal will certainly rock.

Martial arts in an RE movie?

Lame...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

The movie sucked, however I liked the ending a lot, had a hopeless feeling to it.

I am not sure but I think the sequel might change the story a bit.It seems Alice will meet Jill and Nemesis.Jill knew nothing about Nemesis until Resi3 and never met Alice in that episode.Jill shouldnt meet Nemesis in the sequel.Except if she meets Alice after the happenings in Resi3 which again cant happen because Nemesis was killed and the Racoon City was vanished  after the ending of Resi3.

I thought it was okay. Paul Anderson isn\'t that great of a director  - so I wasn\'t expecting much.
