How do most of you play your games? What I mean is, I tend to play one game until I finish it, without starting any other games until I\'m done (excluding arcade/multiplayer type games that can be played in one sitting). I don\'t know where I developed that habbit, because I played pretty much all of my games all of the time in the 8-bit and 16-bit days, but not since then. Because of this, I recently noticed that I\'m not playing a lot of games that I purchased until long after I purchase them.

Do most of you finish one game before going on to another, or do you play back and forth between several story/mission/objective based games? I\'m just curious.

I play all games in little bits. The only exception was when GTA3 came out and I played it solidly for ages.

i dont have a game habit, but my controller to my tv has a "line in" button switching from ps2 to normal tv, and every time theres any kinda of break in a game (especially madden with field goals and before the kickoffs), i press it and watch a whole 5 seconds of tv. I dont know why, sometimes i grab the controller and not even notice it.

In an adventure game like Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie, I have to collect EVERY SINGLE item in an area before I proceed to the next one. Even if I can already proceed, I won\'t until I complete a level 100%. It just bothers me when I see someone leave a level just to go the next one, when the other isn\'t even finished. But now adventure games make it so you have to go back to the levels later in the game anyways so that kinda changes things.

Vapour, i\'m a little bit like that. i\'m bad for collecting everything on say Tony hawk 3 until i move onto the next area.
but, i\'d say that at the first sitting i\'ll get through the game really quick and skip some goals just to see what
the later levels look like. i suppose it\'s normal.. well, i hope so.

In an adventure game like Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie - Vapor

God, somebody please shoot me in the head the day Banjo-Kazooie style games become offically "Adventures" by the gaming media. Vap.. I hate to break it to ya, but those are platform games.

Anyhow, like I said over at Trigger.. I tend to play 1 game through until I get stuck at a certain area/boss/puzzle.. then I\'ll switch to a different game of -preferably- another genre and play that for awhile or until I get stuck, then switch back to the first game. Taking breaks like that helps to see the situation from a new perspective so I don\'t get stuck in the same old "Mental Loop" and keep repeating mistakes over and over again.

It\'s a holdover from being an Adventure game fan for so long. :)

Strict terms of genre aside, playing a good platformer should be an adventure. Be careful what you ask for Sonyfan

I pretty much stick with a game until I\'m done and as a result have a bunch of unplayed games waiting also. One good reason is I find it a pain to get used to the control setups. I like to be on auto pilot with the control scheme and there\'s usually a fair amount of stumbling through the menus/controls before it becomes second nature. Mostly though, I stick with a game because I don\'t want to stop. When I\'m really stumped, I usually just take a break and think about the problem until a new angle shows itself, then go give it a try.

Adventure is not Mario 64. Let\'s get that straight.

Furthermore, I play my games all at once for the most part, unless its a busy week or it\'s a bunch of games I order off Ebay. In which case, I "sample" them until I find one I really like, which happens to be KoF95 with 4-Meg Ram cart for JP Saturn .

I play back and forth...and sometimes confuse myself with what games I\'m playing!!!

usually, I\'ll finish those really good RPG while taking breaks with arcade game in between. But I haven\'t really complete a lot of games on the PS2..only MGS2, Omnimusha and FFX.

I still want to complete DMC but have too many new games to play and not enough time... :)

oh..and ummm....I\'m still trying to finish Chrono Cross(PSX) on my PS2...the last stages of the game are getting difficult and piss me off.
