The herd mentality is a scary one. Young men in large groups can pretty easily get out of hand. I wouldn\'t let my kid play GTA or watch Jackass until he/she is 16 or so. That\'s the root of the problem - bad parenting. I admit, some kids can watch anything and play any games and nothing bad will ever happen, but you mix that with low IQs, domestic violence in the home, gangster parents, etc...it contributes to the fukked-up morality the child already lives with.
You develop your core personality from the people you\'re with when you\'re a very young child - the parents in most cases. Bad parents spawn more bad parents. A lot of people DO realize that they had bad childhoods and do raise great kids.
It\'s a hard issue to deal with. As much as we\'d like to somehow prohibit certain peole from having children - we can\'t. No one better tell me what I can and can\'t do with my body, and I\'ll give others the same respect.
We have several great methods of birth control, but people still won\'t use it, and it\'s not effective 100% of the time...not to mention the right-wingers who still throw a shit fit when people hand out condoms at school.
And so on, and so on. Bottom line - parents need to pay attention to what the hell their kids are doing.
