Who\'s voting tomarrow?
« on: November 04, 2002, 09:17:16 AM »
Seeing as though this year will be noted for record low voter turnout, who\'s going to vote tomorrow?  I am... Well that is if I can get off my lazy ass and go down to the voting place.

I\'d like to, but I won\'t be in town.  Looks like I\'ll be an absentee.

I read that the Democrats have already highered 10,000 attorneys for disputes stemming from tomorrows election.  Oh my..

didn\'t you have to register to vote when you changed your Drivers License when you moved?

Voting is stupid. It\'s a popularity contest and gives people the illusion that they actual make an effect on things - when in reality, its all about what goes on behind the scenes.

The more you don\'t vote, the more it makes your own words come true.  I vote in absolutely every election.  Sure, my one single vote may have little value (although more value as fewer vote) but I do it anyway because I can.  It\'s the last insignificant ritual that we have to believe there is a tiny semblence of democracy in this country.  If we don\'t bother to do even this one little thing, then it\'s sort of a default vote for another system of governance besides democracy.  I prefer to retain hope that we can someday create a REAL democracy in this country which has never really had it in the first place.  I\'m going to keep voting with that in mind.

Who said I changed my DL ;)

Core- When they clean up and have a LEGITIMATE election down here, then I may register in florida. Untill then I doubt I will even want to vote for any of the dolts in government down here.

I was originally planning on casting my vote for Riordin, for the cali Governor, because of his history of creating more law enforcment jobs.  Unfortunetly he didn\'t get the republican nomination, so I honestly don\'t care who wins, Davis or Simon, either way we\'re screwed.

I\'ll give my teachers explanation to that.  But if everyone thought that way no opinion would ever get across. :p
