Elections are actually today here on Guam. It\'s almost like a spectator sport here and we actually get the whole day off. :D I\'m heading to the polls to vote later this afternoon.

I vote simply because I feel if you don\'t vote you have no place to bitch about who\'s in office or what laws are/aren\'t passed.

I\'m not voting since I\'m not a registered. But if I did vote, I would\'ve voted straight Republican. The Democrats in this state truely destroyed this state. Having a Republican in governor won\'t stop the Democrats from trying to pass stupid laws, but certainly will help stem the tide here.

The fact that the Democrats in this state turned a 10 billion surplus to a 50 billion deficit is one thing. MTBE (a chemical supposed to "reduce" air pollution, instead increases it, it pollutes our water, and our gas millage has been reduced) which Dem Davis said he will remove, reversed himself and kept it. Davis handling of the energy crisis wasn\'t that great either (yes I know, can\'t blame "everything" on Davis [engery companies does hold some blame] but with those long term contracts, we now are paying more for energy then on the market). The business climate here is so bad (taxes, enviromental restrictions, and so on), many companies are leaving (and in a recession, that is even worse). And our education, sucks. Sure, we made "marginal" improvment, but at the same time, we also passed English only teaching which all the Democrats fought against.

So, if you haven\'t noticed, I have no love for Democrats here.

I used to think that everyone should get out and vote. But after thinking about it for a while and listening to the average Joe not understanding any of the issues. I say stay home and don\'t gunk up the works.

Exactly. Why should someone who doesn\'t know the issue vote? Low voter turnout isn\'t always a bad thing.

Dont vote Republician or Democrat.
Seriously.
The two party system is destroying this counrty.
Thier ideals are stagnating and thier rivalry is increasing to such a point where soon nothing at all will get accomplished in congress, because on party COMPLETELY votes one way, and the other votes another.
Get educated, vote for 3rd party candidates.
They are the only way this country is going to become great again.

I\'m fine with that. Every Green vote takes away a vote from the Democrats. :p

No it doesn\'t.  I wouldn\'t have voted for the Democrats had I not voted for the Greens.

People with that attitude piss me off to no end anyway.  The Democrats and Republicans are the SAME PARTY, and I would never vote for either.
