formating problem
« on: November 04, 2002, 07:34:11 PM »
hey everyone.  Im having a problem trying to reformat my hard drive.  It seems that i have a virus that is really screwing with my computer.  I cant even do a full scan without it doing a physical memory dump.  Anyway, everytime that I try to format c:, I get this message: cannot run format because the volume is in use by another process.  It then asks me if I want to force a dismount of that volume, but when I say yes it tells me that it cannot force the lock and the volume is still in use.  What do I do??!?!? anyone know?

Disconnect your HD and rub it against a magnet or throw it in the bathtub.
