I believe the media DOES have a liberal bias. However, I will say that the media isn\'t EXTREMELY left wing (and obviously, Fox News isn\'t a part of this since it is pretty obvious that they are a conservative news channel, and IMO the best). And yes, on a FEW issues, they paint a "conservative" spin on it (after all, bias or not, the news is run by corperations so to an extent, don\'t want to screw themselves with really crazy liberal talk). So yes, the media isn\'t a mouth piece of the extreme leftist (note, I said the extreme leftist).
However, if you take a part some of the stories, and the choice of certain stories, you will find an obvious bias to it. Example, remember the sniper case? All the "experts" the media brought up claimed he was an angry racist white guy going around killing people. People like Donohue, Dan Rather, Katie Curic, and other "unbiased" news reporters were convinced about it that they didn\'t even exercise the possibility that it was someone else. So, what happen when it was discovered that it was a black muslim AND a partner who was an illegal alien? Who, not to mention was caught by a Christian Truck Driver? Did they get back all the experts and say "whoops, we were wrong"? Did they even make light of the truck driver the hero who caught them? Nope. The truck driver was rarely mentioned, and the muslim connection to the story was reduced. Bias?
Its even worse with local news. Espeically in San Francisco and Los Angeles. All it was here was bash conservatives. Especailly Bill Simon. Yes, Bill Simon made a ton of mistakes, which is why he lost the election. But why didn\'t they report all of the corruption of Gray Davis? And even AFTER all the fundraising schemes, corruption scandals, and so forth was released for Gray Davis, MOST of the major papers ENDORSED him. In fact, these same papers pretty much endorsed Democrats right down the line. Don\'t tell me we have a "conservative" bias here.
P.S. It was fun watching all of those media heads a gloom and doom after the Rupubs began to kick the Dems ass.
