IS my Local EB and Game store brake\'n the law ?

ok before i start i want to get one thing clear ... i know the UK launch day is Friday BUT.

Today in Glasgow both EB and Game have Priced (£39.99) boxes of GTC:VC
and are refusing to sell them.

Yup No Sign saying out tomorrow or sticker saying (launched 8/11/02).

just the usual blue sticker saying "Please reserve your copy today to avoid disapointment"

anyway my question is

I though in UK law, if you displayed a price of a product and you have that product to sell then you HAVE to sell it at that price ?

in Short ... if they didn\'t want to brake the launch day (like they did with Timesplitters 2)

why the hell are they placed a price on the GOD Damn Boxes !




EB and Game are Staffed by Monkeys i say !

But in the same sense they would get in real big trouble if they released it early, in fact pulled from all of there stores across the country, I don\'t know how you\'lls laws and rules work.

i dunno mate, they should have release date up. i dont care ive already got mine

I dunno but I saw some THPS4 box\'s out on the shelves way before the release date, but they didnt have actual retail prices on them. It just said to reserve your copy today for like 5.99.

Got mine from HMV on thursday. I think its because they have let night shopping here on thursday which coninsides with the release dates of games.

We got  memo through at work to say we could sell it on thursday. Quite a few stores did this so you will be very lucky if you can find it now.
