OK, I can see the likeness of FF\'s released on the PS1.  but that\'s what people liked.  But take FF11 for example.  This is an online game.  Nothing like any previous FF\'s for sure.  And as far as EA releasing new sports games every year; For sprots fanatics, thats expected.  New team players, new statistics.  Not to mention the fact that Madden 2003 is online.  Have you seen the forum for madden?  A very large protion of the gaming comunity love the hell out of some Madden.

I havent playied FF11.But from what I ve read so far there is nothing remarkably special from it either. Its not even a FF game.It only shares the name.It sounds more like Square\'s effort to compete PSO.

You are right about EA\'s sports games. They arent stupid to stop producing them, let other developers own the officail rights and lose the huge sports fan gamers who are buying their games. They have no other choice anyways than make them every year.
For their sports games its a path they cant ignore.

But thats not the point. And ts not just sports.NFS and MOH are games having sequels too often without major improvements.(I hope this wont happen with SSX.)

The point is :  they arent producing any fresh ideas.Wheather there is a good reason or not.
