Opera 7 is out whoopee
« on: November 13, 2002, 07:59:24 AM »
Yep, with a sleek new look and they seem to have fixed my biggest gripe with their browser....java pop ups never seemed to work.

I\'ve been using Opera 6.xx for a few weeks now, at first because IE was acting up on me but now simply because I greatly prefer it over IE. I\'m addicted to mouse gestures, the best thing ever in browsers. And Mozilla\'s mouse gesture plugin is far from as good as Opera\'s.

So I\'m pretty happy with this now :D

Mouse gesture?  OK I\'ll go check it out but I still like Mozilla.

Ohh, it looks nice.  I\'m gonna download it now.

EDIT:  My only gripe with Opera is the built in popup ad blocker doesn\'t allow javascript popups either.

Go into the preferences thingie, there you can select allow requested or something similar. Then it should work.

Ohhh, thanks no-one.

I love this browser.  It opens so fast now, and it\'s even faster than what it was before.  Hard to believe, really.

You sure you went to the right place?

http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?opsys=windows&platform=windows&lng=en&ver=7.0b1

You only have to pay if you wanna remove the banner.

The engine is very nice.  It\'s a big improvement from Opera 6.  It\'s very fast too.

I\'m sticking with Phoenix though.  Pop-up blocking and whitelisting, toolbar customization, and menus that don\'t overwhelm you with useless options (like Mozilla and Opera seem to do).

ok, I\'m going to seriouisly try this tonight, my IE has been giving me headaches, and I want a change.  However, last time I changed, I went with neoplanet, and it took forever to load pages.
