Iraq \'accepts UN resolution\'

Iraq reportedly accepts the terms of the new UN Security Council resolution calling on the country to disarm.
Baghdad\'s ambassador to the UN is expected to give the security council a letter detailing Iraq\'s response soon.

Syrian envoy Fayssal Mekdad said it would be a "positive reply" after speaking with Iraqi UN ambassador Mohamed Aldouri.

Iraq was given until Friday to accept the new UN resolution on disarmament or face "serious consequences".

The development came as President George W Bush renewed his warning that the US would take military action to disarm Iraq if it flouted the UN resolution.

Anyone look at this as a total joke and a farce?

The Iraqi parliament UNANIMOUSLY turns the UN agreement down, but it get accepted because Saddam says OK to it.  This is a total joke and a stall tactic.

Guarantee you this was preplanned to make Saddam look like an ambassador of good will.  What a joke.

Those people over there are so brainwashed.  I saw a really good documentary on PBS the other night with a journalist in Iraq.  He was being escorted all around and any time he tried to see something sketchy they would jump all over him.

He was trying find out about the oil for food program and the oil for medicine programs.  The gov\'t over there wants to say that it\'s not working and that people are going without food and drugs.  Well this guy went to pharmacies and got all the medicine he needed.  Some doctors expressed problems while others in the same hospital said everything was fine.

It\'s just sad all the brain washing that goes on.

I\'m not stupid, I realize that there is brain washing towards us as well, but not nearly as much.  With a free press it\'s pretty tough to do too much brainwashing.  Granted the press holds back info on a regular basis, but they don\'t knowingly put out false info like the Iraqis are.

Sorry this thread isn\'t about my 7000th post, anal sex, or whether there is a God or not.

It\'s a stall tactic. How long untill he refuse\'s to accept certain conditions later on. Then the threats come rolling in..then he accepts and stalls. etc..etc..etc..

Finally he will have what he wants and will further defy the moron we call president. Old bushy will then send our guys over to be slaughtered. By that I mean.. If Saddam wont think twice of using those weapons on his own people, what makes anyone think he isnt drawing us in for the big kill?

I feel very sorry for our men&women in the service.
