Well, we can\'t say for sure that they\'re all AAA.. but I would assume so.

Still, yeah, this makes Capcom better than Sega IMO.. that is, until Sega announces some 2003 games.. :)

Thats Leon???

He\'s no longer such a dork...

And I\'m with Clip...

Capcom is the best...
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

Killer 7 looks awesome. The artstyle is totally new and sweet. I\'m gonna pick that up if it turns out good.

Okay, then.

It\'s still debatable - to no suprise, it is your opinion to why Capcom is your favorite developer. If the definition of "best" is as described above in your reply, then I\'m in:

If "best" in your words, is putting that many tripple A games on one system and making them look that good, well then I beg to disagree. What makes them better than say Konami? Than Square? Square brought out nothing but "AAA" titles aswell, although many people might disagree with those scores simply because many dislike the turn based RPG style used in the FF games. Still, the talent is certainly there and everything from the stories, sound to the characters have been top notch in the past. In fact, I can\'t recall a Square game not being "AAA" despite The Bouncer. Capcom certainly had a weak appearance with Code Veronica, or if you want to debate that, then Nemesis. They also had some other games that probably didn\'t reach status of being a "AAA" game either.

I love Capcom, if only because of the first Resident Evil games and the incredible Devil May Cry game - but if I had to go with "best" developer - then I would have to go with Square simply due to the importance of the company, sales wise, technical achievements and their ability to maintain a very high average in game quality over the past.

I need a GC...NOW....These games look amazing.Thank God GC isnt expensive. It increases the chances I might get one.

I cant let any game from the RE series to go away from my hands(Except the Gun survivors).I like the looks of the main character(Is he really Leon?).He is very similar looking with one of my favourite characters, Squall Leonheart,

I find the other games very interesting too.

Great games are emerging on the GC after all this time.At last

Finally a Nintendo machine that is catering to my tastes. The GC doesn\'t look half-bad anymore.

Personally, out of the games listed above, I like Product Number 3 the best. Dunno why though.. it just cought my interest. Maybe because it reminds me of Cool Girl (the title in the works by H. Kojima)...

Has Square branched out onto other genres and been succesful? Hell no. Why? Because  Square has no clue about games other than RPG\'s.

Konami makes some good games - but they make plenty of crap games.

Capcom, on the other hand has been succesful for years upon years and not been limited to one genre. They revolutationized the fighting game genre and started a craze with the Survival horror genre. They continue to push boundries in all the right ways and are not limited to one genre and that is the true test of a developer.

Killer 7 and Viewful Joe both scream of style and both look extremely interesting. I can\'t say I care about Project 03 - its yet another sci-fi game.

It\'s funny tho\', beyond DMC2, REOnline and Auto Modelista , Capcom PS2 support is thin and its even thinner for the Xbox. What has happened to Dino Crisis 3? It seems to have dropped off the radar once again .

Heh, I think you are being a bit thickheaded with that Squaresoft comment there Seven.  Threads of Fate, Legend of Mana, The Bouncer, their Japanese exclusive games that they branched out into like those wrestling and baseball games, oh and lets not forget Driving Emotion Type S.  They\'ve had plenty of stinkers, it\'s just people remind themselves of all the good games on the SNES and PSX and suddenly forget the ones they don\'t primarily back funds wise. :)
Don\'t you ever touch my cape.

And does that make them any worse as a developer? Hell no. The point is, they might be your personal favorite developer but you can hardly call it a fact that they\'re "the" best developers around. I brought up Square simply due to the importance of them in console history and them maintaining million sellers over the years.

Also L-I-C, grab a dictionary and look up the word FACT. ;)

Sadly, Square isn\'t that important. For the most part they don\'t innovate.

It\'s basically only Final Fantasy games that have stellar sales, while some of their masterpieces, and most unique and greatest games are completely ignored.  Such as Vagrant Story and Xenogears (outside of Japan).

Square have importance in Japan, not so much elsewhere.

And Square have innovated in the past.  The most notable being the ATB system, but also their fighting games have usually been unique in their own right.  Bushido Blade was the ultimate in realism.  Tobal was the first free roaming 3D fighting game.  And Ehrgeiz was the first free-roaming fighting game where you were not permantantly locked onto you opponent.  And lets not forget the chain system in Vagrant Story.

Of course, those fighting games were developed majoritorily by Dreamfactory and Lightweight, but... oh well :D:p
