Well it\'s that time again. Another month, another PPV. Before I begin in this thread, I\'d like to address something that somewhat, bothered me. Apparently Cerberus doesn\'t think wrestling is considered a "sport."
Cerberus, for your information, wrestling happens to be one of the toughest things to train for, if not, thee hardest thing to train for. Amateur wrestling is a sport my friend. Not only does it require a strong frame, but balance, agility, self awareness, and a good understanding of yourself. What distinguishes amateur wrestling from every other sport, is that you are responsible for your success. You are responsible for the grief of your loss, or the glamour of your success.
Amateur wrestling isn\'t for everyone. If you can\'t be grown up enough to set aside your immaturity, then the sport isn\'t for you. If you can\'t handle certain tie ups, or people sweating all over you, or you tasting your own blood (or someone elses for that manner) this sport isn\'t for you.
The sport is much more viggerous than football, too. The training involved to be an elite wrestling astronomical. You\'d be sick to your stomach on some of the things that we do to get ourselves to the condition we need to be in, as well as strength training. Wrestling "live" in practice is one of the most tiring things we do.
Even though it\'s only yourself and your opponent on the mat, there is a team thing involved within the sport. That\'s in practice. Each person on the team pushes people far beyond the limits of what their pain limit is, their mental and emotional limit is to become the absolute best. Each team player takes what he has learned and uses it out on the mat.
So the next time you say wrestling isn\'t a real sport, think twice my friend for you don\'t know your left from your right. Just because the professional side of it isn\'t as glamerous as others doesn\'t exclude it as being a real sport.
Survivor Series
I\'m really disappointed on how the WWE Title between Brock Lesnar and Big Show has developed. I was really looking foward to Brock revealing his Shooting Star Press to the Big Show, or possibly a F-5, but that all is dimished now. Thanks to the "big clump" Lesnar has a cracked rip plus some bruised ones. Now after Smackdown, Big Show is not injured. I have a feeling the match is going to be very slow, disappointing, and short. Right now, lots of rumors are going around, Lesnar is going to loose his title to Big Show and take 6-8 weeks off to nurse his injury. Instead of showcasing Brock\'s incredible strength, now they are going to wind up giving someone who doesn\'t even deserve a main event spot the title.
The Elimination Chamber is looking very solid. The structure itself looks very... interesting. It\'s going to be interesting how the superstars are going to work the match. If HHH retains his title, I\'m through with watching RAW. I hope Scott Steiner interupts that match and lets someone else have the title. I\'m in favor for HBK or Booker T winning the title.
Anybody else willing to break down their thoughts on events of this PPV, feel free.
