Amazing Xbox offer here in Europe...

This morning on my way to work, I walked past our local gamestore and kind of saw a big add out front:

Xbox: Console + 5 Games for CHF 449.--

1 Game overhere costs us CHF 99.-- and their selling the console with 5 games + the damn console for less the price than you would need for 5 games alone!


USD 1 = CHF 1.6
USD x = CHF 449

x = USD 280.6-

So, in other words, their selling the Xbox for 280 USDollars with 5 games. :eek:

Damn, the last time I saw prices fall that rapidly, it was in 1998 when PSX and N64 were competing. Due to sloppy sales, Nintendo was forced to drop the price more than a few times. Never did they drop it that low.. this, what Microsoft is doing, is pathetic, yet amazing deal.

I wonder how this will reflect on sales... I expect them to surpass PS2s for a few during this offer....

I\'d actually would, if there were any games that interest me. With 5 games to buy, I\'d be wasting my money from the start. Right now, the GameCube seems far more attractive with the games coming... furthermore, with PS2 and the games coming out this fall, what could I want more?

Xbox is worth the money, I can say that.

GCN is my favorite of the two, but if you just take a look at the Xbox\'s lineup.. you\'re sure to find something.

Well, that is.. unless you\'re into Japanese RPG\'s.. (or Japanese-developed games in general, cough)

well the lineup and actually the games out now is a big difference. The best I can get now is Halo. Splinter Cell hasn\'t got me too impressed... so, out of 5 games I would need to get, there\'s only one that really catches my interest.

Besides, PS2s making it pretty hard too, due to the various
must-get titles this fall. If it wasn\'t for that, I guess I\'d be willing to spend that money..

Out of interest, what\'s coming for Xbox? The only one I can think of that could catch my interest is Halo 2... Not too sure of what to think of PDO and Ego yet.. guess I\'ll see when they arrive.

Ninja Gaiden is the only game that I currently have pre-ordered for it. PDO and Fable are on my buy list..

For me, that\'s about it. For now, anyway..

halo 2 is a year away

not even a consideration at this point

since I pretty much play only sports games, I like the X-Box and am getting one soon.  I just wish we had that kind of deal over here.
