Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome is a expansion pack that will be released for BF42 sometime soon (I dunno, the patch (1.2) seems to have delayed the expansion pack).

Don’t recognise the uniforms. Italians?

One of the new vehicles.. The mosquito.

The same can be said for their churches too

Battlefield1942.com updated their site with a new video of Road to Rome.

Go here: http://www.ea.com/eagames/official/battlefield1942/videoclips_high.jsp

Also DICE released a new map for their game, as a Christmas present.. Its called Coral Sea and is mainly a air to air combat map. There can be a total of 24 planes in the air at once.
Not a very fun map when there are TK:ers around though as they can plant explosives on the carriers or park planes in the middle of the runway. :(

More info: http://www.bf42.com/index.php?site=news&id=469

And a new MOD was released, Desert Combat.
Its in Alpha state so its very buggy and some of the weapons models don’t look too hot.
Still very fun.
