Stupid scientists!!! Old theories makes the world complicated!!

Let me tell you all a very sad story about the evolution of physics. I have during my years of studying physics come to the conclusion that mankind is not to bright. We have created different metods of describing the world around us. Time is something we have created to make life easier. Mass is also something we have created to make things easier. Other examples is lenght, energy, velocity a.s.o.
But just because we have created this things doesnt mean that the world can be described in a correct way with this methods. For example can we take elementaryparticles. We want to see a electron as a particle because it is the easiest way to understand the electron. But when we do this we see that the electron actually cant be described as a particle. Sometimes the electron has to be described as a wave. So we cant say that the electron is a particle. We say that the electron is both a particle and a wave.
We notice that we cant say where exactly a electron is or what velocity the electron has. The way we describe elementaryparticles has to be wrong. We lack knowledge about what the electron actually is.
We want to describe everything in terms of particles, energy a.s.o but when doing so we get a lot of paradoxes.
During the beginning of the 20th century scientists had to come up with methods to solve seceral phenomena that was unsolved.
One example is what is called the ultraviolett catastrophe.
At this time light was considered to be a wave. Each wavelenght represents a certaint colour. And each wavelenght has a certaint amount of energy. The problem is that there is a infinitive number of wavelenght. So if we sum every energy in every wavelenght we get infinitive energy. This is ofcourse nonsence. So they had to solve this problem. The solution to this problem is absurd. The solution is that if a wave have not a certaint amount of energy in multiples of a numper called plancks constant the energy will not exist. So in this way they solved the problem. It is just completely absurd. There is no explaination to WHY this solution is better than any other solution. But just because this method solved the problem it has become a fundamental law in physics. :nut:
Other examples is the atom. If a electron is orbiting a proton, the electron should emitt radiation and lose energy and fall into to core. But this is also nonsence so they just forbidd the electron to do this by saying that when the electron reaches a certant distance the electron just stoppes there and will not fall into the core. Just listen to the solution. It is absurd. You cant just create physical laws to prevent things from happening. But what could they do, it solved the problem and this also became a cornerstone in physics and still is. An other problem is that when 2 proton comes very close they start to attract eachother instead of repulsing. So the solution to this is to create a force that is stronger than the repulsing force. But this force can only be valid when the distance is very close otherwise we would observe it. Once again scientists creates a force to solve problems. An other force that has to be created to solve an other problem enters. Radioactivity makes a core splt up into lighter elements. To explain this they had to introduce a new force that can expain this.
All this theories are old but still they are all cornerstones in modern physics.

Instead of searching for other solutions to this problem scientist just keeps on with this old theories as they are ultimate true. It pisses me off. Does this solutions sounds logical in any way. Of course not. And this is the reason to why physics have becomed so complicated. Todays theories cant explain shit. Todays theories cant explain WHY the electron doesnt fall into the core, why the neutron is heavier than the proton a.s.o.
Today we have comed to an stage when we cant explain anything anymore. Quantum mechanics cant give answers to anything. Everything has becoed noncence. But we just keep on trying to explain the world based on old theories that probably is completely wrong.
I just wanted to share my frustration to you all. Dont belive the explainations physics give to tons of phenomena because physics today cant explain shit anymore.

At first, I agreed with your post entirely.  But after thinking about it, I really don\'t see how now is any different from any other time in history.  Scientists give possible solutions to problems, then test to see if those solutions are plausible.  Sure, a few hundred years ago it was much easier to test the possible reasons why things happen (because their knowledge was so limited, they didn\'t have to worry about the world at such a microscopic level), but they still came up with lots of crazy theories before stumbling upon the most correct answer.

Like you said, we are just in a stage.  We are continually working, searching, and testing to try to further our knowledge of the world around us.  It will take time, but I think we will continue to progress as technology allows us to see more of the world around us.  Who knows, maybe you will be the one who makes the next revolutionary discovery...

I enjoy reading Bossieman\'s threads.Rare but very very interesting.

Humans used to explain phenomenons with religion the ancient times without questioning them.Then the first few "Bossiemans" (scientists) appeared and found scientific explainations to them.

Now that science evolved scientists are finding man-made scientific theories as explainations which arent questioned and the Bossieman of the present day comes to
question them who might find the explanation to replace the unquestioned untrue or hypothetical theories.
