We all know that Nintendo is suppose to have a mega announcement come Tuesday, but there has been different takes on what it could be.

There is a rumour that Nintendos big announcement will be revealed on this Tuesday and what will it be? Apparently, Nintendo want to take the Triforce collaborations further down the line, by actually buying out Namco and Sega. But Namco backed out, feeling too much creative control would be taken down to Kyoto so Nintendo opted to go for Capcom. The deal should either be done or almost completed, this would give Nintendo a larger creative base to fight Sony and Microsoft.

Now I must stress to you that this is just a rumour but on a personal note, I have a gut feeling that there is at least a little truth in this. Capcom have shown a lot of enthuasism for Gamecube recently, haven`t they though? Still, it`s a just a rumour, but we are checking this out. So if it turns out that it is true, just remember who told you first.

UPDATED Our source (who wishes to remain anonymous) has added that Capcom will become a first-party whereas Sega will merge with Nintendo, not bought as we originally reported. And Nintendo have stepped up security because of this leak so we won`t be able to get anymore information until the announcement on Tuesday.



This is interesting as the rumor has been circulating awhile that Capcom has been in trouble with finances and so has Sega. The original rumor was that Sega and Capcom would merge. This is just another take on it, though part of it makes sense.  Capcom merging with Nintendo. As any Nintendo or Capcom fan knows , Capcom has been extremely excited with the GameCube and has announced more games for the Gamecube than any other system.

Either way, it\'s all rumors but with the way the industry is now (Square and Enix, Rare and MS!?!?) nothing would surprise me.

It would explain the Sega-Capcom merge. Somthing is going to happen, and that is the only thing I am sure of.

I hate to say this since I truly love Capcom and Sega, but is it going to make any difference with the hype machine *cough* ps2? I think not. Especially since most of the gaming populas have 1 console, and probably do not keep up with developers like Capcom.

Something big is going to happen soon. Rumors of a Sega, Capcom, and/or Nintendo thing has been happening. Will be interesting to see whats going to happen soon.

Nintendo, Sega, and Capcom together? Yeah right. Capcom and Nintendo is a longshot itself by they are putting impressive games on the Cube.Nin and Sega merging has no chance of merging. They\'ve recently stopped producing their sports game for NGC.

True:crying:.Although I wished I could own Sonic on my PS2(low on cash and cant find DC anywhere).He is my favourite platform character.I always laughed at Nintendo for having mario.And now not only Sega made him on a GC they will share him with Nintendo?NO WAY!!

Okay, I\'m about this close to disregarding any Megaton rumors now.. but..

The latest Megaton rumor is that Capcom has 3+ more games (on top of Mega Man, RE, the new 4, etc) and that a "revolutionary" new Pokemon game is coming out for GCN in March.. likely in MMORPG format. It\'s prolly a crock. :)

That is hardly  "Megaton" and if that is what all the hype is, I think a lot of people including myself are goin\' to be extremely dissapointed.

I had no doubt that Capcom has more games in development and that Nintendo has a new Pokemon came in development, but these announcements could and should be held for E3, in my humble opinion.
