Um Jammer Lammy

I was over at a friends house a couple of days ago and he had a lot of demo cd\'s for the ps2.We started playing those games where you have to press the buttons of your controller with the beat(from now on I will refer to them as music games).They are very addictive(Hell I even enjoyed britney\'s dance beat).  :cool:

I\'m thinking of picking up a music game for the ps1 and I would like your advice.Some say Um jammer lammy is the one who stands out while others like parappa the rapper.You may also suggest music games for the ps2.

Btw:There was this one game on the demo cd called gitaroo man and it was great.I would imagine it will be hard to get but if you can get your hands on a copy(and if you like music games) don\'t hesitate!!

if you have aloot of time it can be very good but takes alot of time

what about gitaroo moon, or gitaroo man, cant remeber name, its on ps2, i had a dem, really liked it

Britney\'s dance beat!

GO FOR FREQUENCY!! Best game I own, really. I\'ve been playing it more than anything during the past 6 months, and I still keep getting better at it. Superlatively addictive and rewarding. It might seem too much to handle at first on the later levels, but... good god it feels nice to finally master it all...

Other games I\'d recommend :

Um Jammer Lammy (yup, it\'s great, get it! Now!)

BeatMania (pretty so-so, but if you can get it cheap with the turntable peripheral, go for it! I paid 3 euros for mine, mwahhahaha...)

Gitaroo Man looks and sounds great, but it\'s not out here in Finland yet, at least...

And of course, Frequency 2 is coming out anytime now... oh yummy!

As for Britney\'s Dance Beat, it\'s probably the weakest of the bunch (to me at least, thanks to the musics ).

lol. Brittany\'s Dance Beat was pretty addicting, heh. I had a demo.  Ill try to not get relly giddy, (if you couldnt tell i love music games). Well frequncy would be a great puchase if you can find it cheap. It offers lots of gameplay and it gets really hard,(especially when you try to get the hidden songs). On top of that you can make remixes of all the songs. Um Jammer Lammy is by far one of my favorites. Its pretty easy if you know the controls and it doesnt have a difficulty setting but you can get extra modes were you and a friend can battle it out with lammy and parapa where lammy does the rock version of a song and then the parapa raps and the beat changes to a more hip hop version. If your good enough you can freestyle on parts in the song and you\'ll get a "cool" rating where you can freestyle through the whole song without following commands...thats if your you are good enough. Havent played all of guitaroo man but what i have played is fun. DDR games are great. I highly reccomend 5th mix if you have a converter or a mod chip. Or you can just get DDR Max for ps2. MTv\'s music generator for ps is great too. and if you have broadband you can dl fuityloops off kazaa which is king to all if you have the patience. Check it out.
